Heaptalk, Jakarta — Acting Mayor (Pj) of Tangerang City, Nurdin, led the Sate Sami (One Egg Per Week Charity) movement during the morning staff assembly at the Central Government Building of Tangerang City, Monday (08/05).
On this occasion, the Acting Mayor explained that Sate Sami is a collaborative program inviting all civil servants (ASN) of the Tangerang City Government and the community to donate one egg each week, distributed to needy families with toddlers.
“These eggs will be used to support the supplementary feeding program for toddlers, especially for families listed in the Integrated Social Welfare Data (DTKS),” explained Nurdin.
The Acting Mayor mentioned that egg distribution would be carried out in 13 sub-districts in Tangerang City, with approximately 10,000 ASN in the Tangerang City Government participating in this ongoing activity.
“The target is 10,000 eggs per week. This activity will continue to prevent malnutrition or stunting, improve nutrition, and promote growth for children, especially infants and toddlers in Tangerang City,” he stated.
The egg distribution process will be conducted through PKK Healthy Kitchens and Posyandu in each RW across the 13 sub-districts.
“From there, the eggs will be distributed to needy families,” he added.
Nurdin also explained that the Sate Sami Movement is a tangible manifestation of the Tangerang City Government’s concern for children’s future. By providing additional nutritional intake, we hope to help reduce malnutrition and stunting rates in Tangerang City.
“I urge all ASNs and the community to support this program to create a healthy and strong generation in the future,” said Nurdin.
On this occasion, the Acting Mayor, accompanied by the Secretary of Tangerang City and the Head of the Social Service, signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with BPJS Ketenagakerjaan to support workers who experience work accidents.
