Heaptalk, Jakarta — Igloo’s digital insurance platform, Ignite, expanded to Southeast Asia, particularly the Phillippines. This strategic effort is part of celebrating its third anniversary, following the previous achievement of seizing the Insurance Asia Awards for the Mobile App of the Year category in Vietnam.

Besides, the company has also augmented about 20 new features to improve its partner productivity. As part of its innovative measures, Igloo has responded to feedback from Ignite partners by launching the new iLearn feature. This feature allows Ignite partners to access training content in various formats, such as PDF documents, infographics, videos, and quizzes, to enhance their insurance product knowledge and sales skills.

Igloo has also launched a new Ignite microsite to assist with agent recruitment. The site provides relevant content to train individuals who want to pursue an insurance career, whether full-time or part-time. Ignite can also be a white-label solution for insurance companies looking to digitize their agent activities and product sales processes.

In Indonesia, this application has been used by over 5,000 partners. The Ignite platform has over 42 products in 9 categories, with all available solutions from leading insurance companies. The presence of the Ignite platform has proven to increase partners’ efficiency, helping to facilitate the sale of general insurance products that have reached a gross premium of US$6 million.

“We have received positive feedback from partners in Indonesia about the performance of the Ignite platform in digitizing their daily work. This application allows partners to offer various products customized to each customer’s needs and preferences and ensures transparency in the insurance process. We believe that the platform’s availability can ensure the protection of insurance customers, which is expected to increase insurance penetration in Indonesia,” said Henry Mixson, Country Manager of Igloo Indonesia.

Last year, this insurance startup completed a new pre-Series C round funding at US$36 million, led by investment firm Eurazeo and insurance company BNP Paribas Cardif. Igloo’s investors in the Series B and Series B+ rounds, including Openspace and La Maison, were also involved in this round. This fresh injection comes only ten months after the Series B+ fundraising led by InsuResilience Investment Fund ll. Igloo has secured US$100 million in funding from this investment completion and increased its valuation by 50%.
