Moreover, instead of nickel, Armansyah conveyed that the Regency also has a large potential for chromium, gold, and limestone. The local authority has also collaborated with Universitas Hasanuddin to explore the other mineral potentials in North Morowali.
“We continue to dig for more information about North Morowali’s natural resources. We also cooperate with Universitas Hasanuddin to seek the quality of minerals in our area,” stated Armansyah.

According to the Regency’s Head of Communication and Informatics Department, who is also the former Head of Tourism and Economy Creative Department, Gatot Susilo, North Morowali offers comprehensive potential perceiving its natural resources and tourist destination.
Gatot said, “For example, Bajo Island, this tourist destination possesses Raja Ampat’s natural wonders. In this place, visitors can witness stunning coral clusters.”
Regarding the nature conservation, Gatot emphasized, “Although North Morowali is famous for its mining area, the local government is very concerned about preserving its nature, notably for its tourist destinations.”
