Heaptalk, Jakarta — The Acting Mayor of Tangerang City, Nurdin, visited the Tax Room Juara Monitoring Room of the Regional Revenue Agency (Bapenda) of Tangerang City on Thursday. (06/27)
During the agenda, Nurdin urged Bapenda to optimize technology for Property Tax (PBB) services to ensure faster delivery. He also asked Bapenda of Tangerang City to update data more extensively by involving active community participation.
“For instance, if someone builds a house, the Neighborhood Unit (RT) and Community Unit (RW) can report it to the village or sub-district. This way, the PBB Task Force can immediately check the location. Nevertheless, with a population of approximately two million, data collection cannot be quickly done with a limited number of surveyors. We need community participation to report directly to Bapenda,” Nurdin affirmed.
Through this effort, he hopes the PBB can be expedited with improved data accuracy. The Tangerang City Government can deliver better services to the community by possessing accurate data. Also, the Acting Mayor emphasized the government’s commitment to enhancing transparency and accountability in tax services.
“By involving the community in the data updating process, we hope to establish strategic cooperation between the government and society, eventually to accelerate tax services,” Nurdin in his statement.
The Head of Bapenda, Tangerang City, Kiki Wibhawa, revealed that his office has been conducting outreach to the community on how to pay property tax (PBB) online.
“The method is easy, just using a mobile phone without leaving the house. The public can check and print electronic SPPT independently through the Tangerang LIVE application by selecting the Tax and Retribution menu, then choosing PBB,” Kiki concluded.
