Heaptalk, Jakarta — Airpro Indonesia, a car air freshener brand, announced its strategic partnership with Gojek to provide convenience and comfort to loyal GoCar customers (06/26).

Through this collaboration, Airpro products will be gradually available in 1,500 GoCar fleets operating at the GoCar Instant pickup points at Soekarno-Hatta and Halim Perdana Kusuma Airports starting July 1, 2024. “This partnership reflects our innovation in creating a fresh and enjoyable environment during their journey,” said Harris J., CEO of Airpro Indonesia (06/26).

The Airpro products in the GoCar fleet include various variants, notably the Viva Life series. This series is characterized by its ability to create a luxurious and high-quality impression, adding value for consumers. The combination of pleasant fragrances and elegant design brings Viva Life positive energy throughout the journey. Its delightful aroma is claimed to transform the driving space into a refreshing oasis amid the hustle and bustle of everyday life.

Representing scents from five cities

In more detail, Viva Life offers five types of fragrances representing scents from around the world: the golden scent of London, the energy of New York, the romance of Paris, the tradition-respecting Tokyo, and the Middle Eastern spirit of Dubai. Harris explained, “Each variant of the Viva Life series is carefully crafted to encapsulate the essence of life, youthful spirit, energy, and art. This is a new generation of fragrances for your environment.”

Yustinus Juan, Area Head of Jabodetabek Gojek, welcomed the collaboration between Gojek and Airpro. This collaboration reinforces Gojek’s commitment to bringing various innovations to create the best user experience using the GoCar service.

“Ensuring customer comfort is our top priority in every GoCar journey. Through our collaboration with Airpro, we are realizing this, especially in terms of the cleanliness and freshness of the vehicles. Support from Airpro through its products is expected to provide added value and a different driving experience, making GoCar services continue to be the leading transportation service choice for the Indonesian people,” said Juan.

Car scents influence the driving experience

Furthermore, Juan added that they continue to innovate and develop services to ensure customer comfort, including GoCar Comfort and Luxe, which are supported by the best vehicle fleets with more spacious passenger cabins. The GoCar Comfort service is already available in dozens of operational cities, while GoCar Luxe is currently available in the Jabodetabek area and at GoCar Instant Pickup Points at Soekarno-Hatta Airport.

According to Kasandra Putranto, an Indonesian psychologist, car air fresheners significantly impact comfort and mental health while driving. “A pleasant aroma can make your car feel like a personal oasis, enhancing your overall mood while driving. If you seek relaxation and stress relief while driving, consider using a lavender-scented air freshener. Lavender is known for its calming properties and can help create a serene atmosphere in your vehicle,” said Kasandra.

Research shows that the human sense of smell is compelling and can recognize hundreds of thousands of scents. Humans can capture aromas through the body’s olfactory neurons to the brain centers focused on memory and emotions, such as the orbitofrontal cortex, amygdala, and hippocampus. This is why car scents can trigger strong memories. In her conclusion, Kasandra emphasized that scents can significantly influence the driving experience.
