Heaptalk, Jakarta — To support infrastructure development in Fakfak, PT Pupuk Kalimantan Timur (Pupuk Kaltim) recently donated 11 generator sets (gensets) with a capacity of 6,000 watts and four medical ventilators.

The Vice President of Social and Environmental Responsibility of Pupuk Kaltim, Sugeng Suedi, symbolically handed over the 11 generator sets to the Secretary of Fakfak Regency, Sulaiman Uswanas. Meanwhile, the four medical ventilators were symbolically received by the Head of the Fakfak Regency Health Office, Dr. Maulana Pattiran, in the yard of the Fakfak Regent’s Office.

“Mr. Regent, please use these 11 gensets for Fakfak residents in need, especially for electricity. Additionally, there are medical ventilators; please ensure that the head of the health office makes maximum use of them,” said Sugeng Suedi.

Ventilators should have been available during the Covid-19 pandemic but were difficult to obtain then. “It turns out we were able to acquire them after Covid-19, and today, on this blessed Friday, we are handing them over to Fakfak Regency,” he added.

Sugeng further requested the support and prayers of the local government, Forkopimda, traditional leaders, religious leaders, and district heads for the operation of Pupuk Fakfak. He expressed, “Hopefully, the development and operation of Pupuk Kaltim in Fakfak can soon be realized and contribute to the development of Fakfak Regency.”

Meanwhile, Fakfak Regent Untung Tamsil expressed his gratitude to Pupuk Kaltim for the assistance provided to Fakfak Regency. “These ventilators are handed over to the local government, and then we will distribute them to the relevant technical institutions, whether to health centers or hospitals. We will assess technically to ensure they are utilized as effectively as possible for health services,” Untung concluded.
