Heaptalk, Jakarta — The Ombudsman announced that the Government of Kaimana Regency received the highest public compliance rating in West Papua.
“The public service compliance score in 2023 by the Government of Kaimana Regency reached 86.22, making it the highest among all local governments in West Papua Province,” the Ombudsman explained in a written press release on Thursday (06/13).
Musa Yosep Sombuk, Head of the Ombudsman Representative in West Papua, stated that the Kaimana Regency Government’s public service performance had significantly improved compared to 2022 when it was in the red zone with a score of 51.5. He said, “Now Kaimana is in the green zone, and hopefully, it will be maintained.”
In addition to Kaimana, Musa noted that the Government of Manokwari Regency achieved the green zone for public service compliance in 2023 with a score of 89.3 and the Government of Fakfak Regency with a score of 81.68.
The Government of Pegunungan Arfak Regency occupied the yellow zone with a score of 65.34 and the Government of West Papua Province with a score of 55.36. Meanwhile, the Governments of South Manokwari Regency, Teluk Bintuni Regency, and Teluk Wondama Regency fell into the red zone. “There are still three areas in the red zone. South Manokwari scored 36.41, Teluk Bintuni 34.05, and Teluk Wondama 33.11,” Musa concluded.
