Heaptalk, Jakarta — The East Kutai Public Works and Public Housing Department (PUPR) has carried out road improvement project on Margo Santoso 1 and 2 roads located in the North Sangatta District in the form of road asphalting.
According to the Head of the East Kutai PUPR Department, Muhammad Muhir, Margo Santoso 1 and 2 roads are prone to flooding, thus receiving severe attention from the East Kutai regency government. The funding source for this road improvement project is self-managed funds.
Regarding the challenges, Muhammad Muhir mentioned that there are traffic jams at several points, leading to complaints about disruptions to the community’s activities. “We apologize for causing congestion. We are trying to complete it as soon as possible to make it function again,” said Muhammad Muhir.
He added, “This asphalting project is part of the broader program of the East Kutai PUPR Department, which includes improving various infrastructures in the area. The PUPR Department has also planned several other road repair projects expected to support economic growth and the mobility of residents in East Kutai.”
With this concrete step, the regency government of East Kutai demonstrates its commitment to improving the quality of life for the community through road improvement.
