Heaptalk, Jakarta — PT Sokonindo Automobile has officially produced Seres E1 in the Cikande, Serang, Banten production facility. This effort demonstrated the company’s commitment to presenting a more stylish and reasonable vehicle by strengthening a robust localization concept.

“We are proud to initiate assembling the Seres E1 in Indonesia. This domestic vehicle assembly also helps consumers get affordable electric vehicles supporting sustainable mobility in the archipelago.” The Marketing Head of PT Sokonindo Automobile, Achmad Rofiqi.

The Seres E1 is the second electric vehicle model assembled at the Cikande factory. All vehicles produced by Sokonindo Automobile’s factory have high production quality due to modern technology based on Industry 4.0 and highly standardized human resources. This car is equipped with a Lithium Iron Phosphate battery with a maximum range of 220 km for Seres E1 Type L, and consumers can quickly charge the battery at home.

In terms of performance, Seres E1 contained a maximum torque of 100 Nm, combined with an automatic transmission. This combination will simplify drivers to maneuver on urban roads. Several security features are also furnished in this car, including an Anti-lock Braking System (ABS), Electronic Brake Distribution (EBD), Brake Assist (BA), Hill Hold Control, parking camera, cruise control, and driving mode. Meanwhile, Sokonindo Automobile provides the Seres E1 type L with Electronic Stability Control and Electronic Parking Brake with Auto Hold.

Considering that Sokonindo Automobile’s electric vehicle possessed sophisticated technology and required a high-precision production process to produce a secured product, the company adopted robotic technology to maximize human resource performance in generating electric cars.

“This robotic technology adopts a robotic arm to obtain automatic operation support through the internet for coordination. The assembly process has reached 90%,” added Rofiqi.

PT Sokonindo Automobile also guarantees the Seres E1 with a battery guarantee period of 8 years, a vehicle guarantee of 3 years, and free maintenance for three years. The production of this electric vehicle marked the accomplishment of the investment performed several years ago to generate the quality electric vehicles at affordable prices, worth US$12,181, approximately Rp189 million OTR Jakarta.
