Heaptalk, Jakarta — Indonesia’s President Joko Widodo bestowed around 200 land certificates dedicated to a Southeast Sulawesi regional society virtually held in the National Palace. The virtual handover of land certificates was witnessed virtually by the Acting Governor of Southeast Sulawesi, Commissioner General of Police, Andap Budhi Revianto, in the Pola Room of the Southeast Sulawesi Governor’s Office.
The Head of the Regional Office of the Southeast Sulawesi National Land Agency, Asep Heri, said, “This area targets a total of 1.9 million plots of land. This number has been registered at around 73.7%. This area still has remaining parcels of land owned by the community that have yet to be registered, reaching 26.92%, which we will resolve. For this reason, we hope for collaboration from the governor and mayor to complete this matter,”
Furthermore, Asep explained that This Complete Systematic Land Registration (PTSL) activity is a national strategy program for Southeast Sulawesi Province for 2023. Through this program, he hoped the target of 62,967 certificates would be achieved. Regarding redistribution activities. The Southeast Sulawesi Land Office completed up to 20,562 in October.
“We still encounter several obstacles related to the unequal distribution of public awareness regarding the importance of certificates. We still have difficulty determining the administrative boundaries of villages, sub-districts, districts, and provinces. We also perceived that the community is still burdened with paying the Land and Building Rights Acquisition Fee (BPHTB),” affirmed Asep.
Welcoming 2024, the Regional Office of the Southeast Sulawesi Provincial National Defense Agency performed a move following the Presidential instruction no. 2 of 2018 concerning the acceleration of complete systematic land registration and a national movement initiated by the Minister of ATR/BPN.
Closing the conversation, Asep Heri expressed his gratitude to the Regents of East Kolaka, South Konawe, North Konawe, and Kolaka who have waived 100% BPHTB fees for this PTSL national strategy program, and to Kendari City and Bau-Bau City who have reduced BPHTB fees in the community and follow the complete systematic federal land registration strategy program.
