Heaptalk, Jakarta — Indonesia’s Ministry of Tech has updated the licensing application for broadcasting in Indonesia, the e-broadcasting platform. This platform enhancement aims to provide licensing services quickly and transparently.
According to the Minister of Tech, Budi Arie Setiadi, this licensing application’s upgrade follows ISO Standards for Information Security Management Systems (ISO27001:2022) and ISO Quality Management for Radio and Television Broadcasting Services (ISO9001:2015). By fulfilling these two international standards, Budi hopes to improve the quality of public services in broadcasting licensing, especially regarding data security and quality management.
In his statement, Budi explained that application rebranding is a part of further development of the Broadcasting Operations Licensing Management Information System (SIMP3). E-broadcasting platform enables society to conduct the licensing process more quickly because people can complete the process on the same day, generally known as the same-day service.
Besides, the Ministry also embeds a live tracking feature as the application has been integrated with pelaporan.kominfo.go.id and the SAKTI receivables module of the Ministry of Finance. This application also allows payments via host-to-host with a virtual account integrated with the BRI Virtual Account (BRIVA), automatically documented in real time.
Previously, President Jokowi inaugurated the implementation of an electronically integrated business licensing system, Online Single Submission (OSS). The OSS is claimed to cut several bureaucratic links and integrate all licensing processes from the central government to the regional government.
Meanwhile, the Director General of Postal and Information Technology at the Ministry of Tech, Wayan Toni Supriyanto, admitted that data from the previous OSS will be connected to the e-broadcasting application, which displays general requirements such as a Trading Business License (SIUP) and operational feasibility tests will be carried out for the issuance of broadcasting permits.
“One manifestation of the president’s mandate is rebranding e-broadcasting applications to simplify licensing for broadcasting in Indonesia. With the integration of e-broadcasting and OSS applications, we hope this effort can improve the investment climate in the archipelago.” Minister Budi added.
