Hukumku will offer free educational content and seminars on legal services and current issues in its further development plan.
Heaptalk, Jakarta — Indonesia-based legal-tech startup Hukumku has accomplished new seed funding for an undisclosed amount from East Ventures.
The company will allocate this fresh injection to focus on product and marketing development. This plan also aligns with the official launch intention of Hukumku in November 2023.
“We are grateful for the support of East Ventures in our mission to democratize and revolutionize legal access in Indonesia. Their belief in our vision reinforces our commitment to harnessing technology to make legal services accessible for all. With a passion for innovation and a strong background in the legal space, we believe that the company can reshape the future of legal services in Indonesia and beyond,” Co-Founder and CEO of Hukumku, Fritz Hutapea, said.
Founded by Fritz Hutapea as the CEO, Michael Jagadpramana as the COO, and Glorio Yulianto who serves as CMO, they realized the pressing issue of limited access to legal services for society in the country, mainly when they needed them most.
Moreover, the lack of accessibility is exacerbated by limited information, and transparency also influences the negative perspective that legal consultation services are expensive and complicated. From the lawyers’ side, they encounter obstacles in securing their clients as the competition is typically based on connections or referrals.
For this reason, Fritz affirmed, “Our intention extends beyond just serving the users. Hukumku is equally focused on opening lawyers’ access to the users and leveling the playing field. We are dedicated to improving transparency, accessibility, and affordability within the Indonesian legal industry,”
Hukumku’s effort to link users and lawyers
This legal-tech startup offers an innovative solution to democratize and revolutionize how legal services are accessed and delivered in the country. Hukumku provides a platform that connects users to lawyers carefully vetted by the company.
The platform provides users with vital information to find the right lawyers based on their needs. This includes details like the lawyers’ profile, practice license, areas of expertise, location, and user ratings and reviews. Additionally, Hukumku’s platform prioritizes transparency by providing users with pricing information for legal services, ensuring clear expectations for the users.
Hukumku is set to bring a breakthrough solution that covers a wide range of services, making it a complete one-stop solution for legal needs. In its further development plan, Hukumku will offer free educational content and seminars covering various topics related to legal services and current issues to educate users about the terminology and law process, which is expected to ensure mature comprehension of the legal process.
“Indonesian legal industry is ripe for technological revolution. With the robust, relevant background of the team, we are confident that Hukumku will bridge the gap in legal services and redefine how legal expertise is accessed and delivered in our country. We look forward to more exciting updates from this startup.” Co-Founder and Managing Partner at East Ventures, Willson Cuaca, admitted.
