Several services and features contributed to significant growth in DANA: Send Money (200%), Credit & Data (160%), QRIS transactions (300%), and DANA Siaga (1,300%).
Heaptalk, Jakarta — A digital wallet-based financial technology company in Indonesia, DANA (PT Espay Debit Indonesia Koe), revealed a remarkable transaction growth of 50% in the first half of 2023 compared to the previous year.
In detail, DANA Indonesia’s Chief of Product Rangga Wiseno explained that several services and features contributed to this significant growth such as Send Money which grew by more than 200%, Biller by more than 140%, Credit & Data more than 160%, and QRIS transactions of more than 300% as reported by SWA.
“This growth can also be seen from other financial services such as insurance at DANA Siaga which reached more than 1,300% and DANA Gold which reached 144%,” said Rangga in his official statement as quoted by SWA. There are three main factors that bolster this compelling growth, consisting of renewal of features and services, partnerships, and social initiatives namely making DANA #BukanDompetBiasa a modern financial platform for its users.
At the beginning of 2023, DANA implemented several policies to support Bank Indonesia‘s initiative towards the Indonesian Payment System Blueprint (BSPI) 2025, including the implementation of BI-FAST and QR Cross Border Malaysia. Along with it, the company continues to improve services and application feature innovations.
Working with partners to improve user security
Most recently, the Company has updated several money transfer options in its application, for example, the new ‘Favorite Account’ and ‘Send to Group’ features. Supported by an open and wide ecosystem, DANA enables users to top up balances to other applications available in ‘Digital Balance’.
Moreover, DANA also works with various partners to improve services for the convenience of its users in digital transactions, including remittance services or foreign transactions and non-cash transactions at minimarkets, as well as expanding cooperation with the government.
Further, Rangga said that currently, his party is focusing on improving user security with several updates such as providing a Resolution Center, developing a DIANA chatbot, and maintaining security with multi-channel OTP verification through SMS, Whatsapp, telephone, and Push Verify.
He added, “This is all being done as a form of DANA’s commitment #NoDompetBiasa which is always ready to become a modern financial solution for all its users.” Apart from developing services and innovating features in applications, DANA also contributes to society through social initiatives that focus on mentoring and training MSMEs in Indonesia.
