East Kutai One Data portal provides sectoral statistics as one of the essential keys in planning, implementing, evaluating, and controlling development in the regency.
Heaptalk, Jakarta — The East Kutai Department of Communication and Informatics, Statistics and Encryption (Diskominfo Staper) conducted training to strengthen the role of data trustee in implementing East Kutai One Data at Hotel Neo, Yogyakarta for three days on May 15-17, 2023.
The Department has invited speakers from the Statistics Indonesia (BPS) of the Special Province of Yogyakarta. The training participants include staff in the Statistics sector for the East Kutai Communication and Informatics Department, representatives of the East Kutai Regional Development Planning Agency (Bappeda), and the Bantul Regency Communication and Informatics Department.
The Head of the East Kutai Communication and Informatics Department, Ery Mulyadi, through the Department Secretary, Rasyid, emphasized the importance of East Kutai One Data to encourage more precise and targeted policy making in development in East Kutai.
“We know that currently, the need for quality data from government agencies for policy making is increasing to produce more precise and directed development plans, implementation, evaluation, and control. Provision of sectoral statistics produced by regional apparatuses is one of the essential keys to the success of all of this,” said Rasyid.
According to Rasyid, this training is important to strengthen and sharpen the HR capabilities of East Kutai Communication and Informatics Department staff, particularly in the Statistics Sector, in managing East Kutai One Data. Apart from being a forum for learning and knowledge from other regions, this training is also material for evaluating the implementation of One Data East Kutai which is currently underway. The participants can also learn solutions that have been implemented by other regions and develop their own according to the problems in East Kutai.
“Don’t forget that the implementation of sectoral statistics is part of the Indonesia One Data policy, in which this policy is a solution in improving the quality of data governance,” Rasyid added. He expected that the participants can take this training earnestly to then implement the knowledge gained in East Kutai.
