Heaptalk, Jakarta — The East Kutai Regency Government through the Department of Communication and Informatics, Statistics and Encryption (Diskominfo Staper) carried out several efforts to optimize the management of the SP4N LAPOR complaint service, one of which is by forming an a management team that involves all regional and sub-district officials as contact persons.
The Head of the East Kutai Communication and Informatics, Statistics and Encryption Department, Ery Mulyadi, said, “Diskominfo Staper is one of the regional apparatuses in Indonesia that is registered with the Ministry of Administrative and Bureaucratic Reform (PANRB) as a regional agency that makes management action plan books SP4N LAPOR in 2022 as a guideline for improving the quality of complaint services.”
The existence of the LAPOR! application creates space for the community to participate in improving the quality of services as stated in Law No. 25 of 2020 on Public Services. The regulation clearly stipulates that the public must be involved in the process of administering public services.
“Complaints are also an opportunity for service providers to evaluate the quality of public services, particularly in the East Kutai Regency,” added Ery. The Department also received support from international institutions through USAID SEGAR in developing the SP4N LAPOR.
In addition, the Department also has another flagship program, namely the provision of a toll-free Call Center 112 emergency call service which was inaugurated by the East Kutai Regent on December 22, 2021. The call center operates 24 hours at the Department.
The service was launched as a form of concern from the Regency Government to the East Kutai people to report emergency incidents, such as accidents, fires, riots, or natural disasters. The provision of call center services refers to the Regulation of the Minister of Communication and Informatics No. 10 of 2016 on Emergency Call Single Number Service.
