(ADS) Heaptalk, Jakarta — DesktopIP has obtained domestic content level (TKDN) verification results for its two products, Jaybod and  Qubiql following Indonesia’s concern in increasing the use of domestic products to enhance the competitiveness and productivity of the national industry.

Aiming to supports the authority’s program, DesktopIP who has a vision to strengthen the archipelago’s digital resilience, has obtained TKDN result over 85% for its two products, including a cloud storage Jaybod (87.71%) and a personality based productivity platform Qubiql (89.56%).

CEO of DesktopIP Phidi Soepangkat stated, “The government program is aligned with DesktopIP’s vision to achieve digital independence by creating its own products and demonstrate our capabillities to the world. Finally, what we planned ten for years ago can be implemented. Now Indonesia encourages the use of domestic products. This is aligned with our vision. Hopefully, Indonesia can show its power to compete worldwide,” said Phidi.

According to Phidi, possessing and developing the national technology is one effort to embody digital resilience. Since the beginning, the company had a vision to demonstrate Indonesia’s ability to create its own technology, including software products. He emphasized, “When DesktopIP was founded, there was no TKDN program from the government. To realize independence in digital resilience, the only way is to have and develop our own products.”

In order to materialize this vision, DesktopIP has developed made-in-Indonesian cloud storage, Jaybod with collaboration tools for storing, sharing, and organizing files. Perceiving the society’s needs to optimize their activities during the post-pandemic, the multinational technology company also has developed Qubiql, a software that is designed to help individuals or teams carrying out personal development and daily tasks.

Developed by 100% Indonesian workers

In more detail, the verification process requires several documents, including a company profile, company establishment deed, business license, taxpayer identification number, and organizational structure. An independent surveyor agency appointed by the Ministry of Industry will verify a number of product manufacturing factors, such as the product design process, direct and indirect labor, and work tools.

The TKDN scores above 85% show the high level of domestic components used by DesktopIP in developing Jaybod and Qubiql software products, including 100% of workers being Indonesians who use domestic work tools.

Currently, DesktopIP is registering two other software products for TKDN verification. “Hopefully there will be support from the government to implement our products and we can be part of the effort to realize the country’s vision towards digital resilience,” concluded Phidi.
