Heaptalk, Jakarta — Razer, a global gaming company, has collaborated with World, proof of human protocol developed by Tools for Humanity, to launch ‘Razer ID verified by World ID.’ This initiative introduces a secure and private system for verifying real human players, designed to ensure that real humans remain the focus of the gaming experience amidst the rapid advancement of AI in the industry.
The increasing presence of artificial intelligence (AI)–based bots in online games has the potential to disrupt fair competition and negatively impact gameplay experiences. This issue is particularly relevant in Indonesia, one of the fastest-growing gaming markets in the world, with over 185 million active online gamers, according to the Ministry of Communication and Digital Affairs.
A survey conducted by World this year revealed that approximately 9 out of 10 gamers feel that bots disrupt gameplay and make games less enjoyable. Respondents believe that the presence of bots facilitates cheating and undermines the integrity of game competitions. The survey involved 500 online multiplayer gamers across major cities in Indonesia.
This collaboration aligns with the growing awareness among Indonesian gamers that human verification is becoming increasingly important in online multiplayer games. In the same survey, 9 out of 10 gamers agreed that biometric verification could be a viable method to enhance security and create a more trustworthy online gaming environment.

Wafa Taftazani, General Manager at Tools for Humanity Indonesia, stated that World ID brings a new approach to anonymous digital verification, and its application in gaming is a significant step toward a safer and more exciting gaming future. “By ensuring that every gamer is a real human, we not only enhance the integrity of competitions but also build trust within the gaming ecosystem,” said Wafa.
Wei-Pin Choo, Razer’s Chief Corporate Officer, emphasized that building a community of verified members is key to creating fair gameplay. “Developers must be able to create gaming experiences focused on real humans while keeping AI bots at bay. Through our collaboration with World, we ensure that real humans remain at the center of every gaming experience while maintaining fairness, integrity, and interactivity,” Choo said.
As the World’s first global partnership, Razer ID verified by World ID will introduce a single sign-on (SSO) system with proof-of-human technology, enabling human player verification for Razer ID. This system is claimed to protect the gaming ecosystem from bot interference and fake accounts. Razer ID is an integrated login system that provides access to various Razer services and software, including game boosters, cloud-based device configuration tools, game payment services, and loyalty and reward programs.
The first game to integrate Razer ID verified by World ID is Tokyo Beast, CyberAgent’s latest game set in a futuristic Tokyo in 2124. This verification system is now available in several countries, including Indonesia, and is expected to pave the way for broader adoption across the gaming industry.
