Heaptalk, Jakarta—Kaspersky introduced its latest cybersecurity tool, Next, in the Indonesian market (05/21). This tool empowers companies to build reliable and efficient information security systems that meet their unique cybersecurity needs.
The development of the Next platform was motivated by the Enterprise Strategy Group’s Modernization of XDR and SOC report, which revealed that businesses still struggle to find security tools that can detect and investigate advanced threats promptly. For this reason, Kaspersky developed its technology to meet the cybersecurity needs of corporate customers of various sizes and industries.
From January to December 2023, Kaspersky’s statistics recorded a staggering number of cybersecurity incidents in Indonesia. However, with the introduction of Next, the firm is confident in its ability to effectively address these threats and provide robust protection to its corporate customers.
“The reality is that 50% of businesses find it quite challenging to detect and cover all these issues. So, there is a disparity between the emergence of new malware variants and the effort required to address them. For some business sectors, it is quite difficult to detect and cover these issues with existing tools. This is one of the reasons we introduced Next as an alternative tool for businesses,” explained Dony Koesmandarin, Enterprise Group Manager for Indonesia at Kaspersky, in Jakarta (05/21).
Utilizing AI technology to detect threats efficiently

According to Victor Chu, Head of System Engineering at Kaspersky SEA, relying on human capabilities to detect and tackle cyber threats is likely impossible due to the sheer volume of threats. Besides, organizations would also need to spend more on the matter. Therefore, Victor said that Kaspersky utilizes AI technology through Next to help customers detect and further investigate those threats.
Kaspersky Next is deployment-agnostic and allows for both cloud and on-premise installations. This new product line helps provide robust protection against the most common threats businesses face, such as ransomware, malware, and data breaches. It also avoids infrastructure penetration through Business Email Compromise, supply chain attacks, exploits, and other vulnerabilities.
In addition, this tool includes several automation features such as cloud monitoring and blocking, vulnerability and patch management, IoC scanning, and playbooks that can help businesses not only support effective detection and remediation of complex and new threats but also significantly reduce the cybersecurity team’s workload by minimizing the number of routine security tasks.
Currently, this tool is offered in three tiers: EDR Foundations for small enterprises with cloud and on-premise installation, EDR Optimum for mid-sized companies with cloud and on-premise installation, and XDR Expert for large companies with only on-premise installation.
