Heaptalk, Jakarta — Kaspersky, a global cybersecurity and digital privacy company, has appointed Defi Nofitra as its first Country Manager for Indonesia. Officially joining in May 2025, Defi will lead the business, strategically focusing on the enterprise segment.
As Country Manager, Defi will implement Kaspersky’s strategic business vision for the enterprise market in Indonesia and accelerate the growth of industrial cybersecurity products and services across various sectors. He will report directly to Adrian Hia, Kaspersky’s Managing Director for Asia Pacific (APAC).
Hia noted that in 2024, Kaspersky demonstrated strong performance, marked by 11% sales growth. This year, the company expects Indonesia to play a key role in its strategic direction. He emphasized that Defi’s appointment marks a significant step in Kaspersky’s ongoing expansion in the country. “Indonesia is not only a high-potential market but also a priority for us in APAC. With his expertise and leadership, we are reinforcing our commitment to delivering tailored cybersecurity solutions and deepening engagement with enterprise customers across key sectors,” said Hia.
Over 20 years of experience

Defi Nofitra is a sales and channel professional with over 20 years of experience in the information and communications technology (ICT) sector, spanning Indonesia and Southeast Asia. He expressed enthusiasm about joining Kaspersky, particularly at a time when cybersecurity has become one of the most dynamic fields in tech.
Businesses in Indonesia are now at a critical juncture, needing to significantly strengthen their cyber defenses due to the rising volume and sophistication of attacks. “For example, in 2024, Kaspersky data showed that Indonesian businesses faced the highest ransomware attacks among Southeast Asian countries. This threat landscape highlights that as attackers refine their tactics, organizations must adapt by investing in robust cybersecurity solutions that combine advanced technology with real-time threat intelligence,” Defi explained.
In addition, Defi has held leadership roles throughout his career, encompassing strategy, business development, direct and channel sales, and technical positions across ASEAN. He has a strong focus on emerging markets like Indonesia, Thailand, Malaysia, and Vietnam.
In previous roles, he led strategic account coverage in key sectors in Indonesia, including government, automotive, manufacturing, and the public sector. Defi holds a Master’s in Management from Gadjah Mada University (UGM), Yogyakarta, and a Bachelor’s in Mechanical Engineering from Bandung Institute of Technology (ITB), Indonesia.
