Heaptalk, Jakarta — Jasa Marga introduces the Travoy app to support the smooth flow of traffic during the 1446 H Eid al-Fitr holiday period. Travoy provides real-time information as a result of an upgrade to the Jasamarga Integrated Digitalmap (JID) super-app. This capability is expected to serve as a decision-support system for traffic engineering policies.
The Travoy Journey feature provides a comprehensive view of route options, including detailed toll fees, real-time road condition monitoring via CCTV, information about rest area points and facilities, and the latest traffic conditions. This enables travelers to plan their trips more effectively and efficiently.
In more detail, to enhance traffic monitoring services, artificial intelligence (AI) technology has been implemented at several CCTV points along Jasa Marga Group’s toll roads. Not only does this CCTV monitor traffic conditions, but it also counts the number of vehicles passing through and detects disruptions or slowdowns on the toll road sections. The information gathered is then integrated into the JID platform.
Augmented with machine learning
Augmented with machine learning technology through the TransiFlow for TrafficPro (TF-TP) system, JID combines historical and real-time data to produce predictions of traffic volume per hour for the next 24 hours and identifies traffic peaks for the next 30 days. As a result, TF-TP provides a strong foundation for planning and anticipating fluctuations in vehicle volume, especially during the return traffic flow of Eid al-Fitr 2025.
Travoy also provides alternative route recommendations when congestion is detected on toll roads. The Toll Navigation feature provides estimates of distance, travel time, and toll fees based on the latest data collected from CCTV and Dynamic Message Signs (DMS). Furthermore, Jasa Marga has partnered with Google Maps to enhance traffic flow monitoring on the Trans Java arterial routes, including information about functional lanes and the implementation of one-way traffic and contraflow systems through the integration of technology at the Jasa Marga Tollroad Command Center (JMTC).
Lisye Octaviana, Head of the Corporate Communication and Community Development Group at Jasa Marga, conveyed the company’s commitment to continuously developing digital technologies to support optimal traffic engineering policies. With Travoy, the public can enjoy real-time information that helps them plan their travel routes more effectively and efficiently. This innovation is part of our effort to provide a smoother, safer, and more comfortable travel experience during the 2025 Eid holiday,” Lisye concluded.
