Heaptalk, Jakarta — OPPO Indonesia is going to release the Reno8 series and new IoT devices officially on 15 August 2022. During the pre-launch event at the OPPO Gallery Gandaria City, Jakarta (11/08), OPPO Indonesia revealed the detailed specifications of each device.
Chief Marketing Officer of OPPO Indonesia, Patrick Owen, said the Reno8 series will bring a new era of mobile photography. “The Reno series was introduced with advantages in photography features, especially portraits. Therefore, we introduce the Reno8 series line with the tagline The Portrait Expert,” uttered by Patrick during the pre-launch event.
Ahead of the pre-launch, OPPO Indonesia introduced Reno8 through several activities in Indonesia, ranging from portrait workshops and design presentations as well as night photography features. Reno8 series itself consists of four devices, namely Reno8 Pro 5G, Reno8 5G, Reno8 Z 5G, and Reno8.
OPPO Reno8 Pro 5G
Reno8 Pro 5G is designed to be ‘The Portrait Expert’ equipped with OPPO’s first dedicated imaging NPU, namely MariSilicon X, that can produce incredibly clear portraits, even in the toughest situations. Various innovative camera features such as Dual Sony Flagship Sensors, new generation IMX709 RGBW front camera, and IMX766 main camera sensor can support high-quality photo processing.
With Streamlined Unibody Design, Reno8 Pro 5G powered by MediaTek Dimensity 8100-MAX 5G SoC and a long-lasting battery that also features the latest Battery Health Engine with fast charging 80W SUPERVOOCTM Flash Charge. Users will be satisfied by the presence of the ColorOS 12.1 system which is smarter, more personalized, and more secure.
OPPO Reno8 5G
Reno8 5G is equipped with Dual Sony Flagship Sensors, new generation IMX709 RGBW, and IMX766 main camera sensor. It also has several AI-enhanced imaging features such as Ultra Night Video and Night Portrait.
As well as Reno8 Pro 5G, Reno8 5G appears with Streamlined Unibody Design which brings an unprecedented gradient visual effect texture to a fingerprint-resistant back case and a flagship-grade design aesthetic. Adopting the technology of 80W SUPERVOOCTM, Reno8 5G’s battery of 4500mAh can charge up to 50% in just 11 minutes. Reno8 5G is also equipped with Battery Health Engine, MediaTek Dimensity 1300 5G SoC, enhanced Liquid Cooling System of Super-Conductive Vapor Chamber (VC), and ColorOS 12.1.
OPPO Reno8 Z 5G
Reno8 Z 5G comes with several imaging features enhanced by artificial intelligence such as AI Portrait Retouching and Bokeh Flare Portrait. Favorite features on Reno series devices such as Selfie HDR, AI Palettes, and AI Color Portrait, are also present on this device to improve overall imaging quality on the OPPO Reno8 Z 5G.
Besides its amazing camera, Reno8 Z 5G is equipped with a 0.5mm anti-glare glass back case with an OPPO Glow effect. Supporting powerful performance, Reno8 Z 5G has Qualcomm® Snapdragon™ 695 5G processor, 8GB RAM, 256GB ROM, 33W SUPERVOOCTM, a large 4500mAh battery, and an optimized ColorOS 12.1 system.

Bringing the Ultra-Sensing Selfie feature, Reno8 improves photography performance through IMX709, Microlens, and Bokeh Flare Portrait. The Ultra Slim Retro design is made with the iconic OPPO Glow. Reno8 also features 33W SUPERVOOCTM and a 4500mAh battery that can be charged to 100% in just 60 minutes.

In addition to the Reno8 Series devices, OPPO Indonesia also introduced several new IoT devices consisting of the OPPO Pad Air tablet and two True Wireless Stereo (TWS) namely the OPPO Enco Air2 Pro and OPPO Enco Buds 2.
OPPO Indonesia will officially launch all IoT devices at the online launch of the OPPO Reno8 series on 15 August 2022 at 12.00 pm through OPPO Indonesia’s official social media accounts on YouTube, Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter.
