Heaptalk, Jakarta — SAP SE has unveiled its comprehensive series of generative AI tools to empower developers of all skills to supercharge their businesses in the SAP TechEd event on November 2nd, 2023.

As organizations aim to derive business value from generative AI, SAP SE unveils its multiple artificial intelligence (AI)-powered tools, including:

  1. SAP Build Code provides AI productivity tools for developers and is optimized for Java and Javascript development. This tool draws on the power of SAP’s new generative AI copilot Joule to enhance business productivity by embedding code generation capabilities for data models, application logic, and test creation.
  2. AI Foundation, a new one-stop-shop for developers to build AI and generative AI-powered extensions and applications on SAP BTP, will further increase developers ‘ efficiency. This technology covers multiple tools, from ready-to-use AI services and access to the top large language models to vector database capability, AI runtime, and lifecycle management.
  3. The new vector database feature simplifies developers ‘ interaction between large language models and essential organization data. The innovation helps put SAP developers at the forefront of delivering radically new levels of data insight within a secure, private framework that uses industry-specific customer data to reduce human error.

Also, as part of SAP’s endeavor to upskill two million professionals by 2025 and complement free AI learning content already available, this technology company launched new role-based certification and free learning resources for back-end developers using the ABAP Cloud development model. These two new learning resources cover ABAP development tools on SAP BTP and SAP S/4HANA, available on the SAP Learning site.

“Today’s dynamic technology and business landscape means every developer needs to be an AI developer. For this reason, we have launched several AI-powered tools at SAP TechEd agenda, from AI-infused pro-code tools to a one-stop shop to create generative AI extensions and applications on the SAP Business Technology Platform, supporting the developers to revolutionize the AI sector and provide them with resources they need to transform the way business run,” CTO and member and member of the Executive Board of SAP SE, Juergen Mueller, said, during the post-TechEd event briefing.
