Heaptalk, Jakarta — A Jobstreet by SEEK platform has performed its comprehensive transformation by embedding artificial intelligence (AI)-powered technology of its parent company SEEK in the platform to amplify job vacancy relevance for users and simplify company partners looking for new employee candidates more quickly and efficiently.
This transformation occurred after strategic investment from parent company SEEK at AU$180 million over the last three years to integrate three online workforce markets in the Asia Pacific, including SEEK (Australia and New Zealand), Jobstreet (Philippines, Indonesia, Malaysia, and Singapore), and Jobsdb (Hong Kong and Thailand).
“By utilizing AI technology, the platform can help job seekers and companies connect more efficiently and accurately. We will continue to improve the Jobstreet platform by following this dynamic market trend, including in Indonesia. This effort is our most significant transformation since our presence.” Conveyed the COO of Jobstreet by SEEK Indonesia, Varun Mehta, during the press conference. (12/13)
The Jobstreet platform utilizes AI models designed to assess job seeker suitability, screen applications, and provide personalized recommendations through data from multiple sources, including job seeker resumes, job descriptions, and previous employer decisions.
To simplify the more efficient candidate discovery process, recruiters can also choose AI-recommended questions to filter candidates based on the job title as part of the job application process. With this scheme, the most suitable candidates can be easily identified following their answers to the questions provided on the platform.
In reinforcing the accuracy, Jobstreet’s AI technology proffered more than 30,000 recommended questions using an AI algorithm based on job descriptions and previous company behavior to screen the most relevant candidates for the position required.
On the other hand, this new Jobstreet transformation will also help connect candidates with the right companies by leveraging data with local industry insights gained from nearly two decades in Asia Pacific, powered by SEEK’s data and AI team of more than 200 people entirely focused on this market.
Through AI technology assistance, Jobstreet has been utilized by more than 40 million job seekers and over 3 million companies in six countries. As the job-search platform, the company recorded the three most frequently searched job vacancies, spanning Digital Merketing (66%), Retail and General Sales (49%), and Marketing or Business Development (41%).
