Heaptalk, Jakarta — The Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) launched the Net Zero Incubator to encourage listed companies to plan their decarbonization journeys (07/26).
In collaboration with several knowledge partners, this program provides training divided into several continuous modules, such as introducing climate change risks, emission calculations, decarbonization target planning, and climate reporting. The program will also offer tools to calculate emissions. Therefore, listed companies are expected to improve transparency and accuracy in emission reporting in their sustainability reports.
Furthermore, listed companies can participate in the IDX Net Zero Incubator program free of charge. The training program will be held from August to November 2024. IDX will also issue certificates to participants who complete the entire program. Interested listed companies can register through the provided website before July 31, 2024.
During the period from July 22 to 26, 2024, IDX’s stock trading data showed mixed results. The highest increase was in the average weekly transaction volume, which rose 9.00% to 17.972 billion shares from 16.488 billion the previous week. The stock exchange’s market capitalization increased by 0.04% to Rp12,362 trillion from Rp12,358 trillion the previous week.
Changes occurred in the Composite Stock Price Index (IHSG) movement, which decreased by 0.09% to 7,288.167 from 7,294.495 at the previous week’s close. The exchange’s average daily transaction value changed 11.41% to Rp8.506 trillion from Rp9.601 trillion the previous week.
