Heaptalk, Jakarta – VinFast has officially launched the VF 6, its new mid-sized electric vehicle, in Indonesia, marking a strategic milestone in its expansion efforts in the region. The launch is accompanied by an increased investment in VinFast’s showroom network, service centers, and the expansion of its V-GREEN charging infrastructure. This move underscores VinFast’s commitment to offering innovative electric vehicles and contributing to the nation’s green mobility revolution.

The VF 6 enters Indonesia’s competitive electric vehicle market as a B-segment electric SUV, which is one of the most popular vehicle segments in the country. Available in two variants, the VF 6 Eco (IDR 384,995,000) and VF 6 Plus (IDR 439,600,000), both are priced for Jakarta OTR. Deliveries are expected to begin in June 2025.

VinFast has built on the success of its earlier models, the VF 3, VF 5, and VF e34, by offering a range of attractive incentives with the introduction of the VF 6. Customers who place an order before June 30, 2025, are eligible for a cashback of IDR 20,000,000. The offer also includes free charging at VinFast-operated V-GREEN stations until March 1, 2028, and an accessory package valued at IDR 13,345,000.

Targeted at young families and entrepreneurs, the VF 6 is designed for optimal performance in urban environments. With dimensions of 4,241 x 1,834 x 1,580 mm and a 2,730 mm wheelbase, the VF 6 offers spacious interior comfort comparable to that of a C-segment vehicle.

The VF 6 Eco is powered by a 130 kW electric motor (174 hp) with 250 Nm of torque, enabling it to achieve a range of up to 480 km on a single charge, according to the NEDC standard. Meanwhile, the VF 6 Plus boasts a more powerful 150 kW (201 hp) motor and 310 Nm of torque, offering a driving range of approximately 460 km per charge.

Moreover, the electric car design reflects a modern European aesthetic, featuring the “The Duality in Nature” philosophy, developed by Torino Design. It showcases VinFast’s signature wing-shaped LED lighting, dual chrome accents along the body, and sleek 18-inch wheels.

Inside, the VF 6 is built for convenience and modernity, with a 12.9-inch touchscreen that integrates smart controls and entertainment features, a D-cut steering wheel with multifunctional controls, and an adjustable, electric driver’s seat. Additionally, the vehicle offers 18 personalized driving modes to cater to individual preferences.

VinFast ensures safety with a comprehensive driver assistance system (ADAS), which includes 22 standard safety features such as Adaptive Cruise Control, Auto Lane Change Assist, Highway Driving Assist, Traffic Jam Assist, Automatic Emergency Braking, Rear Cross Traffic Alert, Blind Spot Detection, and high-resolution 360-degree cameras. The high-voltage components in the vehicle meet the IP67 standard, enhancing passenger safety across various driving conditions.

As part of its customer-centric approach, VinFast offers one of the most competitive warranty packages in the electric vehicle segment. The VF 6 comes with a 7-year or 160,000-kilometer vehicle warranty (whichever comes first), and an 8-year unlimited mileage warranty for the battery, providing drivers with long-term peace of mind.

Pham Sanh Chau, CEO of VinFast Asia, expressed the company’s dedication to the Indonesian market, stating, “The VF 6 is an important addition to our electric vehicle ecosystem in Indonesia. We are committed to expanding our EV lineup and making electric mobility accessible to everyone. With our expanding charging network and comprehensive green mobility ecosystem, we are ensuring that customers can easily access, own, and enjoy their electric vehicles, contributing to the global shift toward sustainable transportation.”

As part of its long-term commitment to product quality, VinFast has introduced a buyback and trade-in program for all models, including the VF 3, VF 5, VF e34, and VF 6. After an inspection process, customers can exchange their vehicles for new models or sell them back to VinFast. The buyback and trade-in scheme offers up to 90% return value after six months, 86% after one year, 78% after two years, and 70% after three years.
