Through the UOB Infinity app creation, UOB Indonesia expects to enhance its users’ growth by 30% annually.
Heaptalk, Jakarta — UOB Indonesia has released UOB Infinity, a digital banking for businesses that simplify the banking activity experience. Before landing in Indonesia, this newest app was introduced in Singapore and also has available in ten Southeast Asia countries.
This business platform offers an adjustable dashboard that can help the corporation and MSME set their priority menu and showcase financial information in real-time, spanning the transaction status, a delayed matter, and other account information.
This platform also allows its customers to supervise several banking activities internationally and domestically, including checking UOB accounts in diverse countries and executing local and international payments in a single platform.
Responding to this digital platform establishment, the Head of Transaction Banking at UOB Indonesia, Wong Kartyono, voiced, “The digital banking transaction has continued to evolve exponentially, with a rapid penetration. Therefore, through this launch, we expect to grow by 30% annually,”
According to the company’s report in 2022, UOB Indonesia recorded a spike in online-banking service growth around the business ecosystem in the country. The data showed UOB’s customers who utilize digital services climbed by 28% compared to the previous year. As a result, they have contributed to the company’s online payment uplift by 30% YoY.
Aligned with Bank of Indonesia (BI) data, the national digital banking transaction value has uplifted by 28.72% year-on-year (YoY), attaining Rp52.5 trillion. In 2023, BI estimates the national digital banking transaction value will rise to 22.13% YoY, with a total transaction value worth Rp64.1 trillion.
Concurrently, the Cash Products Head of UOB Indonesia, Grace Manuela, also explained that the company had penetrated the registered business customers by 82.3% last December 2022. She considered the output aligned with the transaction amount as the UOB’s business customers utilized e-channels to perform the financial transaction.
Perceiving significant growth in domestic real-time payment across ASEAN, this banking company has proffered a real-time tracking facility for business customers to the SWIFT GPI, enabling them to identify remittance status with transparent transaction costs. In addition, the UOB Infinity application has also incorporated the BI-FAST feature to facilitate the customers to perform domestic transactions with a lower admin fee.
UOB Infinity is only accessible through personal computers or laptops. Regarding a mobile application, UOB Indonesia will launch UOB Infinity Indonesia in the early quarter of 2023 with a digital token, expecting mobile users to prove authenticity in accessing their accounts.
