Heaptalk, Jakarta — Telkom Indonesia announced its strategic partnership with F5, a global cybersecurity company, to strengthen cybersecurity in Indonesia. This collaboration is focused on providing comprehensive cybersecurity services to the Indonesian market, accelerating development, and increasing Telkom’s capabilities in cybersecurity and other digital products.
Telkom Strategic Portfolio Director Budi Setyawan Wijaya and APCJ F5 Senior Vice President Adam Judd signed an MoU on cooperation in Jakarta (04/29). With the growth of the digital economy and the high market demand for digital security services in Indonesia, Telkom is committed to responding to these needs through its portfolio of digital connectivity, digital platforms, and digital services.
Growing need for cybersecurity services
As Indonesia’s digital landscape evolves, the need for cybersecurity is set to grow significantly. This is aligned with Indonesia’s increasingly strong digital transformation campaign and the Personal Data Protection Law enforcement in October 2024. Venusiana R., the Enterprise & Business Service Director at Telkom FM, emphasized, “This strategic partnership is a testament to Telkom Group’s unwavering commitment to meet the escalating need for reliable and trustworthy cybersecurity services in Indonesia.”
Meanwhile, F5, with its cybersecurity capabilities, including application and API security as well as multicloud management, is believed to be able to strengthen Telkom Group’s IT services portfolio. “With F5’s AI-based capabilities, our strategic partnership with Telkom not only answers current and future cyber security challenges but also opens the way for new business models and sources of income,” Senior Vice President APCJ at F5 Adam Judd said.
The Country Manager for Indonesia at F5, Surung Sinamo, added, “We are enthusiastic about starting a strategic partnership with Telkom. Through our joint efforts in product bundling and leveraging Telkom’s strengths in the infrastructure business, we are confident we can enhance our cybersecurity service offerings for the dynamic B2B technology market in Indonesia.”
