Heaptalk, Jakarta — Privy, an Indonesian digital signature platform, collaborates with the Association of Indonesian Private Hospitals (ARSSI) to digitalize administrative processes in healthcare services.

This strategic alliance is designed to significantly enhance patient convenience and streamline hospital administration. By leveraging the Privy platform to digitalize administrative processes, private hospitals can accelerate workflows and adhere to the government’s service standards.

The Minister of Health Regulation (Permenkes) No. 129/Menkes/SK/II/2008 on Minimum Service Standards states that outpatient waiting times should not exceed 60 minutes. Furthermore, this digitalization also facilitates the implementation of Electronic Medical Records following the Minister of Health Regulation No. 24 of 2022, which requires every healthcare facility to maintain electronic medical records.

In more detail, this collaboration facilitates digitalizing vital documents within the healthcare service ecosystem, encompassing patient registration and medical records, medical consent forms, and insurance claims. Adopting Privy’s digital signature by ARSSI is expected to improve healthcare services’ efficiency, security, and transparency across hospitals in Indonesia.

Expediting workflows in healthcare services

“By utilizing Privy’s certified electronic signature solutions, private hospitals can ensure the security and legality of digital documents, as well as expedite workflows that have been predominantly reliant on physical documents,” stated Rano Alyas, Business Development Manager at Privy, as quoted by Kontan.

On the other hand, ARSSI perceives that transforming healthcare services needs to address three main aspects: the digitalization of reporting and data collection involving the community, accessibility for all stakeholders, and the integration and development of platforms related to data, applications, and the healthcare ecosystem.

The Chairman of ARSSI Central, Dr. Iing Ichsan Hanafi, MARS, MH, conveyed, “The collaboration between Privy and ARSSI will be highly beneficial for both patients and private hospitals. Patients will receive faster and more convenient services, while hospitals can enhance operational efficiency and focus on improving service quality.”

Electronic signature technology (e-signatures) can be implemented for various use cases in the healthcare industry. With e-signatures, doctors can sign documents electronically, making their work easier and faster; for example, e-prescriptions can be digitally signed and integrated online with the work order section in pharmacies. Additionally, patient visits and treatment histories can be conducted electronically and signed using e-signature features.
