The local government will retain this achievement through strategic collaboration reinforcement with several stakeholders, including government, academists, business practitioners, and society.
Heaptalk, Jakarta — Sukabumi District Government has received an award for the Smart City 2022 program from Indonesia’s Ministry of Communication and Information Technology, held in Grand Sahid Jaya Hotel, Jakarta (12/01). This award has been dedicated to the accomplishment of the Sukabumi region of arranging the strategic Smart City master plan for the area this year.
As delivered by the Head of the Informatics Application Division of Communication and Informatics Department of Sukabumi Regency (Kabid Aptika Diskominfo), Indra Lesmana, “We appreciate the stakeholders for bolstering us to arrange to settle this Smart City Master Plan. Therefore, we will continue to retain this achievement through the strategic collaboration reinforcement with several stakeholders, including government, academists, business practitioners, and society.”
In further elaboration, Indra claimed the district had implemented several innovations to fulfill the Smart City’s primary points. The local government had successfully launched the Bima Sakti application as the Sukabumi Community Information Bank Application, focusing on the public and SKPD administrative services.
Meanwhile, the regency had guided a community to collect trash into the Trash Bank program. The Smart Branding dimension also has been materialized through improving a Geopark Ciletuh facility. As it is known, this tourism destination has been certified as a National Geopark for the second period by the Indonesian National Committee for UNESCO and the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources.
To realize a Smart City movement in the regency, Indra also aims to conduct strategic guidance towards food security devoted to the local farmers in elevating their knowledge to produce quality agricultural produce. On the other hand, regarding the regional expenditure budget, Indra admitted the regency had gained tremendous contributions from various parties in realizing a Smart City movement. For this reason, he believes in continuing to amplify the district’s potential to participate in this agenda in the coming year.
“We will continue to enhance multiple stakeholders’ capacity, insight, and capability in realizing Sukabumi as a smart city. Perceiving well responsive society towards digitalization, we have robust confidence to amplify other Smart City’s dimensions due to this program having a similar objective in creating the welfare of regencies or cities in Indonesia,” concluded Indra.
