Heaptalk, Jakarta — Indonesia-based renewable energy Xurya announced positive performance achievements throughout 2023. These achievements are reflected in various aspects of the company’s business, such as increased operating rooftop solar power plants (PLTS), strategic cooperation related to the national energy transition, and unlocking green job opportunities.

In its business milestone, Xurya has been reliable for over 100 companies as their comprehensive solution partner for rooftop PLTS. In more detail, the startup operated around 158 rooftop solar plants in over 50 projects spread across 11 Indonesia’s provinces. The overall project has generated more than 166 million kWh of clean energy. This output has diminished carbon emissions, equivalent to 148 million kilograms annually.

“We always see challenges as an opportunity to create change. We believe that every small step can have a big impact. For example, using IoT in our various operational activities has strengthened the Xurya team’s collaboration with internal and external parties. We will continue collaborating to be leaders in backing national energy transitions,” affirmed Managing Director of Xurya, Eka Himawan.

Aligned with its significant business enhancement, this renewable energy startup has regularly conducted rooftop PLTS installation and project management training for about 150 engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) partners since 2019. More than 25 partner companies have attended this training.

Xurya also contributes to building domestic industry and increasing human resources, particularly in the renewable energy sector. In its contribution, the company participated in a corporate social responsibility program related to installing PLTS and solar charging stations in the Komodo National Park tourist area, Padar Island, together with East Ventures.

This company is also actively strengthening collaboration with several parties, such as PLN Icon Plus and PLN UID West Java. Through this collaboration, Xurya and PLN will design efficient renewable energy solutions and create an ecosystem that supports the growth of renewable energy infrastructure in the archipelago.

Regarding the funding achievement, Xurya landed funds worth US$11.5 million in the second stage of Series A from Mitsui & Co and Surya Semesta Internusa in October 2022. Previously, this startup reaped fresh injections from East Ventures worth US$21.5 million, demonstrating its total Series A funding reached US$33 million.

“We realize that this achievement was successful without collaboration with various parties. We thank governments, associations, clients, partners, and investors,” concluded Eka.
