Heaptalk, Jakarta — Indonesia-based crypto trading startup Reku recorded over 60% increase in users from outside Java compared to last year.
“Interestingly, Kalimantan and Sulawesi hit the most significant growth. Moreover, this growth also indicates the tremendous potential of the crypto industry in Indonesia. We are optimistic that the growth of crypto adoption will be even greater throughout the archipelago,” Chief Compliance Officer (CCO) of Reku, Robby, said.
Prior to this achievement, Reku has run its strategy to improve security and disseminate regular education, such as releasing Proof of Solvency audits, presenting a Transparency Portal, and literacy programs in collaboration with multi-stakeholders, including crypto activists, token or project representatives, and the government, have boosted user interest in investing crypto.
The crypto trading startup also recorded a threefold business improvement following the official launch of the staking feature in June last year. As an optimization strategy for users’ crypto assets, Reku revealed that the staking feature is claimed as another option for crypto investors facing volatile conditions.
The feature enables users to earn rewards of up to 12.5% annually in exchange for participating in blockchain developments. Users can also obtain benefit from the price enhancement of their coins and carry out the stake and un-stake process flexibly.
As one of the local crypto exchanges listed on Indonesia’s CoFTRA, Reku continues implementing anti-money laundering provisions through the Know-Your-Customers (KYC) scheme and crypto exchange membership. The overall measures aim to maximize protection devoted to the investors and invest the assets comfortably.
Reku startup will also continue to maximize security and education efforts to increase crypto asset penetration in Indonesia. The strategic moves include:
- Routinely collaborate with representatives of crypto assets, tokens, and projects to provide education and increase public understanding directly from relevant representatives.
- Carry out several accompanying activities or side events to support the Coinfest Asia event, which will be held in Bali at the end of August.
Robby also emphasized the importance of choosing a legal and licensed crypto investment platform. By investing in a legal platform, he ensures users can avoid the security risks potential.
“Unlicensed global platforms certainly have security risks that can affect investors,” Robby concluded.
