This result is stated by Alim Sutiono, the Regional Head of Regional Office VIII Jakarta 1 PT Pegadaian in a discussion event namely End Year 2023 Reflection Towards 2024 PT Pegadaian Kanwil VIII Jakarta 1 at the Harper MT Haryono Hotel, Wednesday, (3/1/2023).
The growth, he continued, became the national second highest in Pegadaian. The outstanding realization loan in 2023 reached USD419 (USD1 equals Rp15,495). This number reached above the target of USD392. As a result, the realization has reached 106,96% from target.
Moreover, the total of customers in 2023 had successfully grown quite significant. “In the digital era filled with challenges, we are able to maintain old customers and new customers up to 300 thousand people,” he explained. Thus, the Regional Office VIII Jakarta 1 Pegadaian now has 19,7 million of active customers, USD10.627 (USD1 equals Rp15,495), and USD161 with the Pefindo AAA rate.
Another achievement from the Regional Office VIII Jakarta 1 PT Pegadaian is sharia people’s business credit (KUR). In the previous year, the sharia KUR growth had reached 125% compared to the year before. The financial realization of sharia KUR approximately reached USD17.272 (USD1 equals Rp15,495) from USD13.812. This result means the sharia KUR had achieved 125,06% from the target prescribed.
Alix stated that non-gold pawned items generate income through electronic devices, automobiles, and storage facilities. For electronics there have been 6.294 credits with OSL that are worth USD761,6 (USD1 equals Rp15,495). Under the vehicle sector, there are 1.150 credits with OSL that are worth USD387. As for storage facilities, there are 1,885 credits with OSL that are worth USD54,4.
Looking forward to next year, “There are still works that need to be done,” Alim stated. One of the examples is the rise of private pawn business that offers 5% of interest compared to Pegadaian that only offers 1% of interest. Therefore, his party is optimist to tackle the private pawnshop market.
Bekasi Area Deputy Regional Office VIII Jakarta 1 PT Pegadaian Dwi Santoso added the performance of his party regarding OSL in 2023 contributed approximately for USD960 (USD1 equals Rp15,495). He targeted his 2024 customers to reach 4-5%.
“The foundation for expansion lies in the quantity of customers participating in the program that is designed to appeal to millennials,” he clarified.
On the other hand, Bogor Area Deputy Agus Riyadi revealed the business growth in his area has reached 18,5%. He is dedicated to expanding the realization of non-pawn products.
Jatiwaringin Area Deputy Nanang Hartanto stated his three main focuses in order to support the local economy are to optimize sales activities to expand market segments, the synergy collaboration channel with the ultra micro holding BRI and PNM, and the safe management of risks is crucial in the distribution of loans.
Kramatjati Area Deputy Alnafiah Alius emphasized that his party would distribute KUR accompanied by halal certification for MSME products. He also collaborated with the Government of East Jakarta in assisting MSMEs.
Senen Area Deputy R Bambang Heru S claimed in the assisting MSMEs program, his party contributed in presenting MSME actors in every Pegadaian outlet in the area.
