Qoala Plus has over 60,000 marketers (Qoala Plus partners) spread throughout Indonesia. Specifically, in West Java, the sales growth rate attained 2.5 fold in 2022.

Heaptalk, Jakarta — Insurtech startup Qoala recorded positive performance through one of its main business units, Qoala Plus, which grew tenfold in 2022. The platform has more than 60,000 marketers called Qoala Plus partners spread throughout Indonesia.

During its three years of existence, the business unit has assisted 115,000 policy claims processes. Specifically in the West Java province, the startup recorded a growth rate of insurance sales of more than 2.5 fold during 2022.

The sales were accompanied by growth in marketers reaching more than 2 times compared to 2021. Insurance for motor vehicles, property, and employee benefits are the most sold products.

In 2023, Qoala Plus West Java has a target to contribute to achieving the national growth of the business unit’s gross written premium (GWP). The business unit will help the productivity of marketers through multiple improvements and training provisions. In addition, it will also diversify the products to people in the West Java region, spanning travel insurance, health insurance, life insurance, and personal accident insurance.

VP Sales at Qoala Plus Adi Firman said, “Aligned with our commitment to being a pioneer of easy access to insurance in West Java, we hope that the presence of Qoala Plus can help people find the best insurance product which surely suits their individual needs. Besides, Qoala Plus also provides a solution for the people of West Java to have additional income.”

West Java has a high potential for insurance growth

West Java is a province with the most population in Indonesia, thus the West Java province has a very high insurance growth potential. This is an opportunity for the platform to provide insurance products for the people of West Java in several areas, namely Bandung, Cirebon, Sukabumi, Kuningan, Indramayu, and Karawang.

Bandung and Cirebon were chosen as strategic cities that could become the door for insurance growth in the province. Bandung is the second city of Qoala Plus Kick-Off 2023 event series, from a total of five cities. The event was previously held in Jakarta and will next be held in Semarang, Surabaya, and Medan. This kick-off event is an opportunity for the entity to meet with fellow marketers from multiple regions to discuss and align targets for 2023.

The digital system developed by the platform can make it easier for marketers to obtain instant and unlimited commissions. SPV of Sales and Partnership at Qoala Plus Sugeng Purnomo said, “With the times that are growing, it is our priority as an insurance provider to have a variety of products that suit people’s needs and lifestyles today.”

Currently, the platform provides 34 different types of insurance products that suit people’s needs, including life insurance, health insurance, valuable assets spanning cars, property, as well as lifestyle insurance including travel and others.

“These various insurance products are provided by Qoala Plus in collaboration with more than 30 well-known insurance partners in Indonesia and supported by PT Mitra Jasa Pratama as an insurance broker,” concluded Sugeng.
