Heaptalk, Jakarta — Bank BTPN’s digital banking, Jenius, provides the Travel feature category to manage points on its Credit Card (Yay Point), from checking the points earned to exchanging points directly from the mobile application.

In collaboration with Singapore Airlines and Traveloka, Jenius credit card points can be exchanged for KrisLyer Miles and Traveloka Points to simplify for customers to book plane tickets at affordable prices. On the other hand, Yay Points can also be redeemed for GoPay and OVO e-wallet balances.

“We realized that this credit card payment method has been abandoned due to the transformation of the current trends. To retain its presence in the market, we have successfully renovated the credit card market to become increasingly relevant for Jenius’s customers.” The Digital Banking Partnership Head of Bank BTPN (Jenius), Febri Rusli, said. (11/23)

Survey data from Bank Indonesia (BI) indicated that demand for credit cards decreased by 4.1% in October 2023, compared to 5.1% in the previous month. To elevate the outcome, Jenius continuously improves point innovation on its credit cards through a co-creation process involving 121 respondents aged 22 – 40 years to develop the Yay Points redemption feature to be constantly relevant to customer necessities.

“From this co-creation output, we disclosed numerous customers’ interests in collecting their credit card points to be exchanged for traveling. For this reason, we bestowed a travel category to facilitate their exchange of Yay Points. They can exchange their points for KrisFlyer Miles and Traveloka Points directly from the Jenius application.”

From the innovation, the user of Jenius credit card have experienced growth, reaching 186% from January to June 2023. Meanwhile, Jenius recorded that the enhancement of credit card use attained 19% YoY, which equals 4.8 million per June this year.

For additional information, the Jenius Credit Card was released in October last year. As the primary pillar in channeling credit service for its customers, this digital banking platform, Jenius, recorded that loan products that had been disbursed reached US$83.4 million (around Rp1.3 trillion) at the end of June 2023. This output increased by 119% YoY, compared to the previous Rp602.1 billion in the equivalent period last year.
