Heaptalk, Jakarta — Perfect Nature, a Singapore-based healthcare and lifestyle company, has secured SGD1 million seed funding for its subsidiary brand, Snuugo, the first intuitive and intelligent wearable breast pump designed and manufactured locally.
The seed funding round was led by prominent angel investors Peter Tan, founder and former CEO of Fischer Tech Ltd, and Willy Koh, founder of Racer Technology Pte Ltd. According to the company, this funding marks a pivotal moment in its mission to redefine the breastfeeding experience by combining it with technology to simplify mothers.
The startup has been strategically allocated the funds for developing prototypes, evaluations, and trials over the past two years. The company has secured international patents for the unique design and is streamlining the manufacturing process. As is well known, much of the funds have been devoted to optimizing the mobile application’s technology.
Responding to this investment, the Co-Founder of Snuugo, Justin Tan, voiced, “This funding is a testament to our belief that mothers deserve the best regarding breastfeeding. Snuugo has been meticulously designed to address all concerns of Asian mothers, from the materials and technology to the design features and mobile application. With these funds, we are not just building a product, and we are building a future where mothers can experience the joy of breastfeeding,”
As a husband who observed the challenges his wife faced during breastfeeding, Justin Tan, Co-Founder, identified a gap in the existing market and an opportunity to create a meaningful difference by developing the first user-centric, innovative, and ergonomic breast pump tailored to modern Asian mothers.
His working partner, Charles Lim, who also served as the company’s co-founder, aims to resolve this matter by bringing his mechanical product and software design expertise to complement Justin’s engineering acumen. They developed Snuugo, a product with a sleek, discreet design and automated innovative features, simplifying the daily routines of mothers.
The application boasts a friendly user experience for new mothers as the device automatically logs the milk volume pumped at the end of each session, with the data effortlessly stored in the application for future reference. The technology also offers a remarkable selection of up to 28 rhythm and intensity settings, enabling mothers to efficiently customize each pump without sacrificing comfort.

Sustainability and eco-friendliness are integral to the product design. The breast pump features Pump-to-Feed and Pump-to-Store systems, reducing the need to transfer milk to other containers, thus minimizing wastage and spillage, providing mothers greater flexibility in their pumping routines, and catering to the constant demands of family and work. Additionally, the product’s minimalist packaging utilizes biodegradable materials and maximizes space.
Following this funding, Perfect Nature company will officially launch Snuugo in Singapore from December 1st – 3rd at Babyland in Singapore Expo Hall 5. In its further plan, the company also aims to expand the presence of Snuugo into Southeast Asia and China in the middle of 2024.
