Heaptalk, Jakarta—In collaboration with Pokémon, Oreo releases exclusive biscuit pieces for the characters in the Japanese video game series, targeting the family market segment and Pokémon fans (05/03).

This limited-edition cookie features sixteen iconic characters, including Pikachu, Bulbasaur, Charmander, Squirtle, Sandshrew, Jigglypuff, Lapras, Dratini, Cyndaquil, Sableye, Piplup, Snivy, Pancham, Rowlet, Grookey, and the legendary Pokémon character Mew. Fans in Indonesia can also get other surprises, such as various merchandise, 16 photocards with various Pokémon characters, and other attractive prizes.

Senior Marketing Manager Biscuits at Mondelez Indonesia Dian Ramadianti conveyed that this collaboration has been awaited by all families and Pokémon fans in Indonesia. “We are excited to announce this iconic collaboration that combines moments of family togetherness and the thrill of an adventure looking for Pokémon characters. This collaboration will invite us all to go on an adventure in finding and collecting the entire collection of Pokémon characters on Oreo biscuit pieces,” Dian said (05/03).

In addition to the character collection, Oreo also released a distinctive flavor inspired by the character Pikachu with packaging and biscuit pieces in yellow. Similar to the world of Pokémon, some characters will have different levels of difficulty in their quests, making this adventure even more challenging. Each Oreo Pokémon package will contain pieces of random characters, with the Mew character being the hardest piece to find.

Winning a trip to Japan

Dian further explained, “Other special prizes have also been prepared for anyone who succeeds in finding this rarest piece of Oreo biscuit. Finders will have the opportunity to enter draws with special prizes, ranging from exclusive merchandise of a set of Oreo Pokémon metal coins to a trip to Japan.”

Welcoming this Oreo Pokémon collaboration, public figure and Pokémon fan Raditya Dika explained that since he was little until now, he has had two children; Oreos have been a favorite snack that can bring the whole family together. “The jargon of twist, lick, and dunk that is characteristic of Oreos feels very familiar to my ears and those of my children. Now, with this collaboration, family snacking moments will certainly be more exciting as Pokémon has become one of the iconic characters that accompanied my childhood and is still popular even at the age of children today,” Raditya explained (05/03).

The presence of Oreo Pokémon biscuits in Indonesia was initiated by content creator and gamer Reggie Prabowo (Miauwaug). He initiated an online wish for rare Orea pieces with Mew’s image to be available in Indonesia. “We are enthusiastic about the presence of this collaboration in Indonesia. This is also the answer to our long wait to start the search for every Oreo Pokémon piece, especially the Oreo with the Mew image which is most sought after by fans and collectors in all corners of the world,” Reggie uttered.

To celebrate the collaboration, this brand, under the auspices of Mondelez International, is holding multiple attractive activities that everyone can take part in at the Grand Atrium Mall Kota Kasablanka, South Jakarta, on May 3-5, 2024. Visitors can experience adventure through various exciting games such as tower roulette, flip & find Pokémon, Oreo Stacking Game, and others to be able to take home various prizes. Apart from Jakarta, Oreo will also hold similar activities in Surabaya at the end of May and Medan at the beginning of June.
