Xendit’s Co-Founder and COO, Tessa Wijaya, observed that fundraising had become the foremost defiance faced by startup industries in Indonesia, both early-stage and growth-stage. Through this collaboration with the Ministry of Tourism, Tessa emphasized continuing back the startup ecosystem and growing Indonesia’s digital economy, one of which is releasing this Venture Capital Database 2023.

Head of the Working Group on Venture Capital Financing and Specific Financing at the Ministry of Tourism, Ginda Manurung, observed that this collaboration is needed during the current tech winter conditions to continue advancing the startup ecosystem and provide strategic assistance to the companies engaged in the venture capital.

This action is one of our strategic moves to speed up the digital economy in the archipelago. The launch of this database also aligned with the Ministry program, namely Indonesia Business Matchmaking (IBIM), which intends to bridge investors and creative economy players. Together with many stakeholders, Indonesia’s government will continue synergizing to realize a more advanced digital economy,” Ginda concluded.
