Heaptalk, Jakarta — An end-to-end commerce enabler startup, Komerce, bags undisclosed seeds funding from Bukalapak’s Founder, Achmad Zaky and vc firm 500 Global. This startup will handle its fresh capital to advance products and acquire new users.

Responding to the funding, the CEO of Komerce, Nofi Bayu Darmawan, stated that the management will focus on expanding services to several MSME areas that e-commerce enablers in Indonesia still need to optimize. Also, the company is unlocking a Pre-Series A round by the fourth quarter (Q4) of 2024.

“This funding will bolster us to improve our products and expand into new markets. We believe e-commerce has great potential to help MSMEs in Indonesia,” added Nofi.

Established about five years ago, Komerce’s startup possessed extensive digital services to simplify end-to-end operations for MSMEs. Users can experience Komerce’s services, spanning remote teams to develop e-commerce, delivery aggregator, e-fulfillment, software-as-a-service (SaaS)-based omnichannel, and Customer Relationship Management (CRM). In more detail, Komerce’s services stand for diverse features, including:

  1. Komclass, assisting Indonesia’s MSMEs in carrying out upskilling and training to grow their capabilities
  2. Komship, boosting cost and operational management efficiency in terms of delivery management
  3. Kompack, simplifying multiple processes, such as warehousing, management, and goods packaging
  4. Komchat, helping users to broadcast their product promotions with one click only
  5. Komplace, providing omnichannel services and managing various marketplace sites in one dashboard. This service comes after Komerce acquired local omnichannel startup Boostr ID in August last year.

“We believe that e-commerce platform utilization possessed tremendous potential as a supporting place to back Indonesia’s MSMEs to grow,” affirmed Zaky.

Komerce assists small and medium businesses in maximizing their online sales channels. However, the startup allows users to utilize existing services based on their preferences, as each service provided is stand-alone. Existing for more than three years, the Komerce platform claimed it had attracted around 25,000 registered MSMEs, with more than 2 million transactions that have been handled. On the other hand, this e-commerce enabler has more than ten warehouses and 450 e-commerce talent. Komerce has recorded its profitability in the last year by increasing revenue by up to 300%.

“We are very impressed with the team and the company’s vision in helping MSMEs improve their capabilities further,” said Khailee Ng, Managing Partner of 500 Global.
