Heaptalk, Jakarta — Singapore-based IoT service provider UnaBiz closed its US$25 million Pre-Series C funding round from the KDDI Open Innovation Fund 3 and KYOCERA Communication System Co., Ltd (KCCS). The investment will support the strategies of security industry growth, deepen logistics and supply chain market penetration, and utilize expansion with hybridization.

The capital injection follows UnaBiz’s strategic acquisition and integration of Sigfox 0G technology, which now operates with a healthy and profitable profit and loss statement due to continued revenue growth and streamlined operations. In 2 years, UnaBiz added 4 million new devices to the global 0G Network, making it the single largest unlicensed LPWAN network globally.

UnaBiz has connected an additional 1 million devices in the security industry. The startup partnered with major Automobile and Motorcycle manufacturers to scale its telemetry and anti-jamming services globally. The company targets use cases such as pallet and parcel tracing by expanding its AI-powered Wi-Fi geolocation services.
In expansion with hybridization, UnaBiz also expanded its market share in the gas and water utility segment with additional hybrid solutions leveraging multi-tech network technologies. UnaBiz has connected to about 13.5 devices, of which 4 were added in the last 24 months.
