Heaptalk, Jakarta — Indonesia Ooredoo Hutchison (IOH) Group, through its subsidiary Lintasarta, collaborated with Nvidia to adopt its full stack of artificial intelligence (AI). With Nvidia’s AI capabilities, Indosat aims to increase productivity and reduce operational costs across industries.
In this cooperation, Nvidia will provide access to the latest graphics card (GPU) technology with data centers connected to public internet speeds of up to 400 Gbps. With the support of Nvidia technology, IOH and Lintasarta’s AI cloud services will develop a new generation of data centers that are sustainable, hyper-connected, and equipped with artificial intelligence.
Further, Lintasarta GPU-as-a-service will provide access to AI/machine learning designed for heavy computing work, including the provision of bare metal infrastructure, platforms, and services. This capability will ensure reliable cloud supercomputing services and leverage AI to create innovation for users.
In response to this cooperation, President Director and Chief Executive Officer of Indosat, Vikram Sinha, said, “This technology will be implemented in data centers operated by the joint venture company Indosat, Lintasarta and BDx Data Centers, namely BDx Indonesia. This partnership marks a critical moment for Indonesia to become a global digital nation through AI-powered,”
Following this strategic collaboration, Indonesia’s IDX revealed that Indosat’s (ISAT) stocks rose by 1.79% to Rp11,350 per share (2/29), which also influenced Its capitalization value to grow to Rp91.31 trillion. In Wednesday’s trading (2/28), ISAT stocks multiplied to 4.93%, attaining Rp11,175.
“Indosat’s Lintasarta will become NVIDIA’s cloud partner, offering scalable and high-performance AI Cloud services following NVIDIA’s reference architecture to realize the archipelago to the forefront of the global AI Cloud community,” Senior Vice President of Telecom Nvidia, Ronnie Vasishta, voiced.
This telecommunication company currently focuses on amplifying its digital segment, including the development of the data center infrastructure. As is known, a substantial improvement was made by enhancing its revenue by 10% year on year (yoy), with total earnings of Rp 51.2 trillion or around USD3.27 billion. This positive result was driven by several factors, including enhancing service quality and positive performance from the company’s entire business lines.
