Indosat recorded a subscribers growth of 4% or 3.8 million YoY to 100 million, with an increase in the company’s average revenue per user (ARPU) to Rp 35,800 in Q2.
Heaptalk, Jakarta – Indosat Ooredo Hutchison reportedly attain positive growth in the five last semester. The behemoth technology company recorded a total income of Rp24.7 trillion or about US$163 million (USD1 equals Rp15,107), enhancing 10% year on year (YoY).
This strong growth was contributed by the positive performance of all the Company’s business lines. Cellular revenues rose by 8.4%, while the revenue stream from Multimedia, Data Communication, and the Internet (MIDI) increased by 15.7%. Fixed Telecommunications services also grew 25.9% YoY.
Furthermore, top-line performance growth was able to generate a strong increase in EBITDA by 24% YoY to IDR 11.4 trillion, with an EBITDA margin reaching 46.1% in the first half of 2023. The Profit for the Period Attributable to Owners of the Parent Entity was recorded to attain IDR 1.9 trillion or around USD125 million.
Achieving positive growth, the President Director and CEO Indosat Ooredoo Hutchison, Vikram Sinha, during Indosat financial report press conference stated, “We are pleased to announce our positive results in the first half of 2023. Moreover, the acceleration of network integration with Multi Operator Core Network (MOCN) has started to show progress. Indosat recorded a subscribers growth of 4% or 3.8 million YoY to 100 million, with an increase in the company’s average revenue per user (ARPU) of Rp 35,800 in Q2. The technology group also recorded data traffic escalation of 16.8 % YoY or more than 7,000 Petabytes. All of these service improvements were supported by more than 215 thousand Base Transceiver Stations (BTS) – 167 thousand of which are 4G BTS – in the first semester of 2023, which increased by 8.5% YoY.
