IndiHome Distributed Nearly US$30,000 For Indonesian Affected By The Pandemic

Heaptalk, Jakarta – IndiHome, Telkom-backed fixed broadband, has created the “IndiHome Charity 2021” program to show its dedication to the nation. In the program, Telkom’s subsidiary has allocated donations worth Rp420 million or equal to nearly US$30,000 (the current exchange rate from USD to Rupiah is 14,472) to people affected by the pandemic around the Firm’s offices across the country.

After commemorating national children’s day by launching IndiKids, IndiHome, again, showed its concern for Indonesia’s condition that now is experiencing the second wave of the covid-19 pandemic by delivering donations in its charity program (27/7). Similar to the previous actions, the charity distribution has been delivered directly through institutions, community organizations, schools, and foundations that were determined by the Telkom Regional respectively. Every Telkom Regional office has distributed aid up to Rp60 million or equal to US$4,150 that was divided into three charity packages where the nominal is customized to the Telkom Regional’s needs.

The charity program in this second quarter adopted the theme “Unlimited Creation With IndiHome” has presented productive and creative spirit to people who deal with the covid-19 situation. The Vice President of Telkom Marketing Management stated that the program is an implementation of IndiHome’s mission to balance business and social aspects. The activity is a form of caring from the Company to help each other, particularly to assist people who are affected by the pandemic.

“With a connectivity strategy, IndiHome is able to present equal internet access to the remote village. Through creativity, further, IndiHome strives to drive the nation’s innovation, creation, and productivity. In conducting charity, IndiHome participates to tie happiness and grow people’s spirit to keep strong and resilient in facing the pandemic,” E. Kurniawan said in his opening speech on IndiHome Charity 2021 virtual event, Tuesday (27/7).

In addition to held IndiHome Charity, in the event also organized a surprising program, namely “Unlimited Creation With IndiHome” that was carried out simultaneously in all Telkom Regional I – VII.  The participants who attended the occasion in the respective area applied strict health protocol.

The entire EVP Telkom Regional I-VII, the representative of IndiHome Charity 2021’s beneficiary, and the beneficiary of the “Unlimited Creation With IndiHome” surprised program from every region attended the event.
