Heaptalk, Jakarta — Reinforcing its position as a leader in the wearable industry, Huawei Device Indonesia is again presenting the Huawei Band 9, which will be officially sold on April 25, 2024, at 00.00 WIB exclusively online. This new item will be sold at a flash sale price of only Rp499,000, from the original cost of Rp699,000. With every purchase of Huawei Band 9, consumers will obtain 700+ Watch Faces for free.
This device is claimed to be more than just a fitness tracker; it is also a wearable device with completely advanced features like a smartwatch. The presence of this smart band is expected to provide a smarter standard of fitness technology through wearable devices at an affordable price with a luxurious minimalist design and quality materials that provide extraordinary comfort when worn to meet today’s lifestyle, from exercising to wearing while sleeping.
Huller Fan, Country Head of Huawei Device Indonesia, said, “Through the launch of Huawei Band 9, we are bringing users a completely upgraded smartwatch-like fitness experience, providing the perfect balance between functionality, style, and comfort. Huawei Band 9 will be available in four eye-catching and stylish color choices with softer and more comfortable material on the skin. Coupled with a series of embedded advanced features, the Huawei Band 9 is one of the wearable products that deserves to be on the wish list of Indonesian consumers, especially those who care about regular health and fitness monitoring.”
Meanwhile, Training Director at Huawei Device Indonesia Edy Supartono, in a media roundtable that took place in Jakarta on Thursday (04/18), said that this new release has four main advantages: design, professional health management, more advanced fitness exercise monitoring features, and a better battery. “It comes with a 1.47-inch AMOLED screen with a screen-to-body ratio of up to 65%. This gives the Huawei Band 9 a wide and comfortable display for a smart band,” Edy said.
Edy explained that the screen is equipped with an ambient light sensor (ALS), automatically allowing users to adjust the lighting level (auto brightness) according to ambient light conditions. He added, “The brightness of the Huawei Band 9 screen will dim or brighten automatically according to the surrounding light conditions. We present the ALS feature, which is usually present on smartphones, as a first experience in Band series products.”
Besides a light and thin design, it only weighs 14 grams (without a strap) and has a thickness of only 8.99 mm, making it comfortable for all-day use. “The Huawei Band 9 smartband strap is made from an improved version of fluoroelastomer strap material so that Huawei claims it is resistant to water and stains while minimizing the risk of allergies and itching when used,” Edy concluded.
