Heaptalk, Jakarta — Ancol Jakarta Supersport Championship (AJSC) 2024 will be held again on April 20-21 at the Ancol Carnaval Circuit.

The competed sports include drag race, drag bike, drift, and slalom. “We add freestyle sports and modification contests. For drag bike, there will be an EV Class Exhibition in series 2,” explained Doddy Hendrawan, chair of the AJSC 2024 event committee in Bandar Jakarta, Ancol, Jakarta, Thursday (04/04).

AJSC 2024 promises the second series will be even more thrilling and engaging. AJSC has expanded its programs this time by introducing new motorsports activities and forging partnerships with Ancol, X-Ray, IMI DKI, and TDR One Team.

“We are trying to take inspiring steps by inviting all parts of the nation to join in efforts to fight poverty and stunting and also inviting the disabled automotive community, which has expertise in motorbike modifications, to compete in AJSC series 2,” said Doddy. This initiative proves that sports and recreation events such as those held in Ancol can be more than solely a performance or competition event.

Combining sports and social initiatives

He further added, “They have the potential to inspire positive change in society by inviting participants and spectators to not only enjoy the activities but also become part of a larger movement for social welfare. These initiatives target a broad and diverse group by involving motorcyclists and the motorsports community. Community development will create awareness and encourage real action on the issues of poverty and stunting. By joining hands, the slogan #WeMoveAsOne becomes a reality, showing how sports and social awareness can go hand in hand towards positive change.”

This event aims to return the Ancol Carnival Circuit to a training facility for automotive sports for cars and motorbikes. Additionally, the Ancol Carnival Circuit will soon be opened as a motorsports facility for the public and can be used for paid training.

AJSC series 2 also allows collaboration with sponsors, SOEs, Ministry of MSMEs, and F&B players to support automotive activities and revive public areas with activities attractive to multiple age groups. Registration has been opened for the six sports that will compete. There are many exciting attractions from all competing sports, and visitors will be spoiled by competitions and attractions that will explode in the Ancol Carnaval circuit.
