Heaptalk, Jakarta — GoTo Group is collaborating with Tencent, a global technology company, to provide comprehensive cloud infrastructure and digital services for GoTo’s businesses (09/20).
In this five-year partnership, GoTo will fully leverage Tencent Cloud’s Platform as a Service (PaaS) technology and services to support the Group’s ecosystem. GoTo’s engineering team will work alongside Tencent Cloud’s internal service and infrastructure experts to develop the technology further.
This collaboration allows the company to continue enhancing its offerings while strengthening consumer-focused products and improving user experience. Tencent Cloud servers located in Indonesia are expected to bolster various services and solidify GoTo’s position as one of the largest digital ecosystems in the country.
Utilizing data centers in Jakarta
Poshu Yeung, Senior Vice President of Tencent Cloud International, welcomed the partnership with GoTo to drive Indonesia’s digital transformation. He said, “With over 20 years of experience in technological innovation and building large-scale digital ecosystems, Tencent Cloud’s high-performance, easy-to-maintain, and flexible services will benefit GoTo’s core service offerings. On the other hand, Patrick Walujo, GoTo CEO, stated that the partnership between GoTo and Tencent Cloud will support the company, its consumers, driver-partners, and MSMEs (Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises) within its ecosystem. “GoTo’s goal is to offer the best and most integrated experience for users across all our platforms, and Tencent Cloud provides a strong technical foundation to achieve this. Currently, Tencent Cloud offers more than 400 technology and connectivity services designed to drive digital transformation for businesses. Its global infrastructure spans 21 geographic regions and 58 availability zones, including two data centers in Jakarta.
