Dat Bike furnishes Weaver++ motorbikes for the drivers to fulfill GoRide, GoFood, and GoSend orders on the Gojek mobile application.
Heaptalk, Jakarta — Indonesia-based mobile on-demand multi-service platform, Gojek announced its strategic collaboration with Vietnam’s Electric Vehicle (EV) provider Dat Bike to provide EV-based transportation service, food delivery, and logistics for Gojek in this country, effective on May 18th, 2023
In more detail, Dat Bike will equip the driver-partners of Gojek with Dat Bike’s Weaver++ motorbikes for use when fulfilling GoRide, GoFood, and GoSend orders on the Gojek mobile application. According to the company, by operating this EV motorbike, the drivers can minimize fuel expenses up to fourfold compared to internal combustion engine motorbikes and significantly reduce carbon emissions.
In response to this cooperation, the General Manager of Gojek Vietnam, Sumit Rathor, observed the country is one of the critical markets for the company to continue providing its users with impactful solutions that support the development sustainably of its partners and deliver quality and convenient services at reasonable prices.
“Thus, this partnership is essential, expecting to demonstrate greater value for the entire users while positively impacting the community in which we operate. Aligned with Gojek’s objective, this collaboration also enables us to work together with the Government’s objective of reducing emissions, contributing to the sustainable future of Vietnam,” added Rathor.
The Weaver++ of Dat Bike can be charged for only 3 hours and possess a powerful 7000W engine and tubeless tires. Gojek’s drivers’ partners can experience more efficient performance, ensuring they can maintain their earnings, with a top speed of 90km/h and a range of 200km on a full charge.
Drivers can change the motorbike’s battery for free at tens of community charging points in Ho Chi Minh City. On the other hand, this motorbike is also furnished with a fast-charging port to quickly charge the first 100km in an hour at any household electrical outlet.
The CEO of Dat Bike, Son Nguyen, voiced, “This project is part of Dat Bike’s ambition of converting all gasoline motorbikes to electric motorbikes in Vietnam and Southeast Asia. Those driving for technology platforms account for many people who frequently use motorbikes. Through this cooperation, we aim to persuade more users, including tech platform drivers, to know the power and convenience that electric motorbikes can offer to accelerate the transition to greener transportation for a better environment,”
