Heaptalk, Jakarta — Fore Coffee startup has officially opened its international outlet at Bugis Junction, Singapore. According to the company, this initial outlet was a historic achievement for the team in introducing Indonesian coffee culture through a business expansion strategy in the Southeast Asian market.
Inaugurated by Indonesia’s Minister of Tourism and Creative Economy, Sandiaga Salahuddin Uno, he revealed, “Indonesia is still in third position on the international coffee product export map after Brazil and Vietnam. We must continue to act on this potential because it has extraordinary added value. Through Fore Coffee’s first international outlet in Singapore, this outlet will become a means of promoting our country’s tourism sector and creative economy, especially in the culinary industry.
In providing quality beverages in the Singapore market, Fore Coffee presents a range of its signature drinks in Indonesia, spanning Palm Sugar Latte, Pandan Oat Latte, and Butterscotch Sea Salt Latte, which are priced starting from SG$4.50 (around Rp. 51,926).
The company claims that this superior menu has been re-mixed with a fresh twist because it has been adapted to the taste preferences of the Singaporean people through a series of Flavor Group Discussions (FGD), which also used the Nutri-grade level as a guide for making recipes to improve the quality of the taste of its products.
Addressing Singapore as the first international market targeted, the company claimed this country has become a business hub in Southeast Asia. Moreover, according to research conducted by Fore in collaboration with Redseer in 2023, Singapore’s coffee market share is estimated to grow by 5% annually, reaching US$1.3 billion in 2027. With this tremendous potential in this country, this startup aims to target Singapore’s market potential at US$1.2 billion (around Rp19.6 trillion).
Established in the archipelago, this coffee brand has broadened its outlets in multiple Indonesian cities, precisely in tier 2 and 3 cities. In its business outgrowth in the archipelago, Fore Startup expanded its branches to 144 outlets in Java, Sumatra, and Kalimantan in August 2023.
Responding to this business expansion, the Co-Founder and CEO of Fore Coffee delivered, “We implement the principle of sustainability in expanding and running our international store operations. The opening of this international outlet proves that we are expanding Indonesian coffee products in the global market.”
