Heaptalk, Jakarta — Digital Transformation Indonesia Conference and Expo (DTI-CX) 2022 has been officially opened by the Ministry of Communication and Information Technology at the Jakarta Convention Center (JCC), Central Jakarta (03/08).

Widodo Muktiyo, the Expert Staff of the Minister of Communication and Informatics for Communication and Mass Media, as representative of the Ministry, said that the flow of technological innovation runs very fast.

Widodo explained, “Innovation happens every time. We have no option, we have to be ready for it.” He mentioned an example of the technology development, namely 6G connectivity development that will soon be carried out as a follow-up to 5G.

The opening ceremony is also attended by the President Director of PT Adhouse Clarion Events (ACE), the Chairman of Indonesia Telematics Society (Mastel), and the Chairman of Indonesia Internet Service Providers Association (APJII).

DTI-CX 2022 held on 3—4 August 2022 aims to support the acceleration of Indonesia’s digital transformation agenda and is also a part of event series to commemorate the 77th Postal and Telecommunications Service Day on 27 September. The event is organized by PT Adhouse Clarion Events (ACE) together with the Ministry of Communication and Information Technology, Indonesia Telematics Society (Mastel), and Indonesia Internet Service Providers Association (APJII).

Around 50 technology solution providers from various industries are present at this exhibition such as Telkom Indonesia, Telkomsel, EDGE DC, Indonet, OutSystems, VMware, Veeam, Elitery, Kayreach System, and many more. “The expertise of technology solution providers that will be present at DTI-CX is very diverse, ranging from cyber security, artificial intelligence (AI), enterprise solution, system integrators, talent and training, to cloud and data management,” said President Director of PT Adhouse Clarion Events, Toerangga Putra.

Besides the exhibition, visitors can take part in the conference with the theme ‘Transforming People, Business, and Society—Synergize The Transformation of Public Services, Business People, and The Society’. There are 85 reputable speakers from related industries and 1.000 delegations of senior level come from various sectors i.e government, financial services, telecommunications, logistics, FMCG, e-commerce, manufacturing, energy, utility, and infrastructure.

Today technology is not only a tool needed in business or organizational operations but also as a basis for a source of competitive advantage. Therefore comprehensive discussions on digital transformation become necessary. Moreover, the digital transformation journey also faces various challenges such as infrastructure, digital talent, and increasing cybersecurity risks due to the exponential increase in data flows.

The Chairman of Indonesia Internet Service Providers Association (APJII), Muhammad Arif, realized the challenges that exist in the digital transformation journey cannot be solved by only one party. Besides, various problems require various appropriate solutions as well. “This is the reason why DTI-CX is here to bring together digital transformation actors and parties who can maximize the journey. In addition to technology solutions, DTI-CX will also provide further education and knowledge about digital transformation,” explained Arif.

Sarwoto Atmosutarno, the Chairman of Indonesia Telematics Society (Mastel), stated that DTI-CX is an ideal event since digital transformation in various sectors can no longer be delayed. This event is also in line with the spirit of commemorating the 77th Postal and Telecommunications Service Day.
