Heaptalk.com, Jakarta – As the heart of the national economy, Jakarta is required to present a friendly atmosphere for the working people to keep the “wheel” running so that it can get out of this “deadly valley.”  Thus, from the people’s side, they need to present and carry out activities according to their workplace role, yet the movement needs to be supported by safe and comfortable modes of transportation.

To be precise, after around two months inside a “quarantine,” the governor of Jakarta, Anies Baswedan, gradually issued a policy to re-operate the inner-city transportation modes, including Trans Jakarta and its feeder bus, online-based transportation like Gojek and Grab, and also Taxi, of course with Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) which prescribes how public transit should serve people during the difficult times.

On the national scale, the Ministry of Transportation, Budi Karya Sumadi, through a Director-General Circular refers to the Minister of Transportation Regulation No. 25 of 2020 concerning Transportation Control during the Covid-19 pandemic is also gradually allowing the public to carry out an intercity traveling by using the bus, train, plane, and ship or private vehicle at the end. In the beginning, traveling is allowed for particular purposes like a business trip, state trip, and an emergency trip that requires visit public health facilities outside the city. The homecoming trip is previously prohibited, and later it is permitted.

However, as the transportation open, it does not mean running without risks. Massive mobilization tends to bear up opportunities for virus transmission, which are also getting more significant. Thus, it is a severe challenge for us to face this. Moreover, we are now living in a digital world that prefers monitor everything in distance.

Self-mitigation before a trip with JAKI

Today we are surrounded by mobile applications that make it easier for us to mobilize in the pandemic epicenter. Recently, the DKI Jakarta Regional Government introduced a new feature of the JAKI Apps (Jakarta now application), namely, JakCorona.

“Jaki now has a feature that allows residents to know the updated conditions regarding the development of the corona case in a specific area as it can reach up to the level of kecamatan, kelurahan, and RT/RW, the information is now in the grip of our cellphone,” said Yudhistira Nugraha, Head of Jakarta Smart City BLUD, Communication, Informatics and Statistics Office of DKI Jakarta Province.

By using JAKI, people who want to make a trip to a specific destination in Jakarta can mitigate themselves by monitoring whether or not the region is on the “Black Zone,” “Red Zone,” or “Green Zone.” If it is a black zone, the system will suggest postponing the trip until the region turns safer. On the other side, if the destination is passing the “Black Zone” or “Red Zone,” they can be suggested to use different alternative routes that much safer.

A lot of fleet monitoring apps are ready to use

Meanwhile, on the side of public transportation modes in Jakarta, such as Trans Jakarta, Feeder Bus, and Commuter Line, so far, three alternative applications can be used to monitor the fleet positions. There are Tijeku, Trafi, and Moovit. Basically, it shares the same feature, but what makes them different is how they are presenting user interface and user experience. You can choose what is most convenient.

It is quite useful when you are on a regular work trip from rural to urban, like Depok, Bekasi, Tangerang, Bogor, and Tangsel. Have this application on your smartphone, as the application gives you the best suggestions to use what transportation modes are suited on you. You can also monitor the fleet’s position precisely as the apps will give you concise predictions on what time it arrived at your station or bus stop. For the best hacking tips, we can suggest you determine your departure time first, and then you can get a lot of transportation modes suggestions, select one of them, and match your time with the fleet arrival. It is significant to reduce the human’s buildup on a specific spot.

Do online rapid test

People who want to travel outside cities are obligated to bring them the proof that shows passengers with a ‘COVID-free’ indication. This travel policy is already and strictly applied to transportation modes like bus, train, plane, and ship. To facilitate this, Tiket.com and Halodoc offer simplicity for the passenger that need to do the rapid tests while traveling.

The procedure is quite standard compared to ordinary times that passenger needs to book the ticket with Tiket.com, while on the date selection, the passenger is facilitated to choose the rapid test schedule. Then, Halodoc will manage the rapid test schedule.

Also, the passenger should put in a note that:

  • rapid test results only valid until a specific period. Check the site to get further information
  • The name listed on the Covid-19 Rapid test voucher must match the passenger’s name and you cannot transfer it or let other people represent your test
