Heaptalk, Jakarta — BTPN continues to maintain financing in the ultra-micro sector, considering it remains challenging.

“The bank is also strengthening the assistance provided by all #bankirpemberdaya in developing the four superior behaviors of customers, namely Courage to Start a Business, Discipline, Hard Work, and Mutual Support or Solidarity (BDKS) so that the ultra-micro segment can survive in any situation,” BTPN’s Syariah Director, Arif Ismail, during the Public Expose 2024.

On the same occasion, Arif also mentioned that, as part of fostering customer spirit, BTPN Syariah offers appreciation through an entire airplane Umrah program for ten inspirational centers that have demonstrated solidarity in building BDKS.

“In addition, growing and inspiring customers will have the opportunity to receive more intensive assistance from university students through the Bestee program (Empowerment Together with Sahabat Tepat Indonesia),” Arif added.

In concluding his remarks, Arif mentioned that by the end of June 2024, BTPN Syariah recorded a net profit of Rp552 billion and a financing disbursement of Rp10.44 trillion. Meanwhile, BTPN Syariah’s financial ratios remain healthy, with ROA at 6.6% and CAR at 50.1%.

Meanwhile, BTPN Syariah Finance Director Fachmy Achmad also stated that the company sees the MSME sector, especially the ultra-micro industry, continuing its efforts to recover post-COVID-19. However, it has not fully improved yet.

Fachmy further mentioned that the NPL ratio for the ultra-micro segment is still challenging, as indicated by OJK data showing that the gross MSME NPL reached 4.04%, approaching the 5% threshold. Meanwhile, BTPN Syariah’s gross non-performing financing (NPF) as of June 2024 stood at 3.05%, slightly up from 3.01% in June 2023.

He also noted that the Industrial Productivity Index indicates that despite some improvement, the ultra-micro sector’s performance is still below pre-pandemic levels.

“Overall, we see that in this situation, we are confident that they need time for recovery, and to support this, BTPN Syariah will continue to strengthen its assistance to the inclusive community,” Fachmy concluded.
